Big home with lots of common area for relaxing and entertaining. Everything required was available at the home. Proximity to beach, Harbour Town, South Beach and Coligny is excellent. Could use a house manual to explain systems like spa, pool and A/V. Our spa was a disappointment as we paid extra for heat yet the controls did not work. Vacasa was very responsive overall and issued a credit for much of our pool/spa heat payment. I appreciated their support.
Very nice home. Lots of perks! Plenty of space.
Such a huge and awesome place! One of our favorites we’ve ever stayed in, honestly. Location is perfect. Definitely spacious enough to accommodate several people. Despite going in November, the pool stayed warm enough to be comfortable in. The hot tub was large and great as well. Only had one day where we had trouble getting it heated, but the team responded promptly. Huge kitchen with double ovens and massive refrigerator.
Beautiful home, tons of space. Location is perfect, close to everything, yet secluded and tranquil. Would definitely stay again!
We stayed here for a week and attended a family wedding on one weekend. It was wonderful!
The lack of customer service is terrible. Checked in and the third story of this house where 8 of the beds were at was 89° and windows don’t open. Called three times over a 5 hour span. Finally had someone come out and they didn’t give the poor guy the key to get into the unit. No AC up there for a full 24 hours. Had to move mattresses to other floors. No paper towels, no trash bags, no pool towels, small amount of regular towels. Floors are dirty like others mention and every handle in the place needs tightened. They had a pool man come out at Saturday at 1:30 in the afternoon. He didn’t even knock and creeped us out. Kept looking in the windows. They gave me $165 refund. That barely covers the towels, trash bags and paper towels we had to buy. Unless you want to spend the first 24 hours on the phone with them begging to fix issues, I’d stay away.
4.5 stars. A few little tweaks and this house will be a 5! House has recently had some improvements like new wood floors. Plenty of room for families. Multiple eating areas. Large bedrooms with nice roomy bathrooms. The house is located in a quiet area just off Sea Pines road with easy access to beach, Salty Dog and Harbor Town. Plenty of bath towels provided however no beach towels, beach chairs or toys. Not a big deal for those who are driving. We paid extra for pool heat and we’re very happy with how it worked. Clean pool w/o lots of leaves and such. Owners allow use of 1garage spot which came in handy for rental bikes. We would love to come back here again.
Our overall issue with this property was the intermittent heating issues with the spa. There were 4 nights the heater stopped working so we weren’t able to enjoy it. Additionally, we checked in past the business hours (5:45pm) on a Saturday and were never given the code for the spa so we couldn’t even use it on the first night due to poor communication (assuming it would have been functional on the first night). Instead we had to wait until normal business hours on Sunday to speak with property manager to get code. The major design flaw of the house is locating the main children’s bedroom directly above the master bedroom. Any movement and sound coming from above is disruptive especially if bedtime hours differ. The dishwasher does not get dishes clean. All cups on top rake would come out with a sandy grit in them. We did enjoy the ability to spread out in the house.
The house is very nice and had a beautiful layout however here is a list of issues that are disconcerning: The pool was maintained very poorly and was very cloudy. All the carpets were in dire straits needing to be cleaned. Floor ceramic in the kitchen was broken and was not repaired. Extremely disconcerting since it had been in previous reviews and have never been properly corrected. Bathtub in the kids room did not drain. Missing a door thumb pool going in to the other children's room. Audio system was in grave repair of needing replacement however the owners have not done anything to it yet. There are numerous other areas of disappointment and it's a shame because it is a beautiful house it just needs a little TLC for overall improvement. Will look elsewhere for another house to investor money in for rental next year.
Lovely home and great location however there are several things that need attention that apparently have been an issue for years according to other reviews. Horrible smell of litter box and sewage throughout the house; we had to buy 10 plug Ins. Loose tiles in the kitchen we had to cover with a mat. Playroom tv doesn’t work due to old electrical components in the closet tripping a surge box. To top it off we go to book for next year and the price is up by $6000 a week for the same week. No thanks.
Loved the house, pool, and first floor study
Spacious home and a short easy walk to a very private stretch of beach. We had four families, 3 of whom had small children, and were very comfortable with plenty of privacy for all. Great kitchen and living room and screened porch with nice gas grill. Amazing pool. Will stay here again.
Overall good. Second time renting here. House smells musty and needs a deep clean. Worked well for our family.
The kitchen was poorly equipped, we purchased a pot and some baking utensils to help make the stay more efficient. Goodly amount of dishes, glasses and serving pieces.. Vacassa did respond to technical difficulties that arose.
This is our 3rd year renting the home. It is a beautiful home, great layout and great location, however are seeing a decline in the home's upkeep, since we've been renting it. The house is becoming more worn down every year. House keeping was very lacking. The front entrance is dirty. The bench by the front door was so dirty, I didn't even want to hang a wet towel on it. The whole home was extremely dusty - base boards were filthy, and don't even look up at the ceiling fans. The carpet on the stairs was also dirty with visible dirt unvacuumed. The linens on the beds are very low quality and scratchy. I remembered this from last time and brought my own sheets. There are broken tiles on the kitchen floor that could be hazardous to bare feet. 2 out of the 3 years we had problems with the AC breaking. Fortunately this year it was resolved quickly. That being said, the game room/twin room is never cool. It is constantly hot. The house needs a broom (there were 2 dust pans and a vacuum but no broom). The kitchen supplies seem to dwindle every year. We anticipated this and brought items we use a lot - cookie sheets, salad spinner, good knives, spatula, good skillet, etc...
