Luxurious 4-bedroom house in the ❤️of McAllen

Beautiful home and backyard. Very updated and all house necessities provided. It was very clean and spacious would be perfect for familes or groups. Very good communication and response time. Would definitely stay again!

There were no washcloths in the bathrooms for bathing and nothing to wash dishes with besides soap and our hands. No sponge , no dish cloth, no dish towel. No dishwasher— a luxury home would have one. There was no ice nor any ice trays to make it. We had to go purchase all of the above items as well as toilet paper. Extremely low water pressure and towel bars were missing with holes in the wall. On the plus side—The home WAS very clean and beds comfortable.

House was clean and in good order We stayed there because of a funeral of a close relative in the area. Overall it’s nice location and nice house.My recommendation would be for more towels and extra blankets. First house I have stayed at where there wasn’t at least salt and pepper available along with laundry detergent!

Sadly, the pictures do not reflect the actual home. There were broken cabinets in the kitchen. Not enough towels. No laundry soap. No extra toilet paper or any paper products. With some TLC this place could be nice, but right now it doesn't seem to be a priority.

The house was nice and felt safe and comfortable. It does need a little maintenance as one of the kitchen cabinet doors is falling off and is a safety hazard. Primary bath cabinet door is completely off. The sponge and scrubber in the kitchen were used and the paper towel and toilet paper rolls were not full and there were no extras. There were not enough towels for the 9 people staying in the home and there were no washcloths. Our stay was short so these were small inconveniences, but if we had stayed longer, it would have been a problem.

The cleaner was still there when we arrived — 1.5 hours *after* we had been told we could check-in. What was interesting, though, is that the house wasn’t actually that clean. There were crumbs in the pantry, grime in the sinks, disgusting cobwebs and dust on windowsills, unclean floors (our feet turned black being barefoot inside the house). There was a lot that was broken too, which just felt wrong considering the high price point — we wanted a house that was well-cared for and clean, but we did not get that. Two of the kitchen cabinet doors were about to fall off and one was completely missing, there were holes in the walls, a missing towel rack, dollar store quality kitchen accessories and linens. This house is NOT worth the price, unless you just need the convenience of the location, which we did appreciate. The neighborhood also felt safe— another plus. The house has great potential, it just needs a little more love and care.
