My daughter was graduating from university of Delaware so we rented this place in Wilmington. Pretty easy drive back-and-forth from Newark to Wilmington. The place was clean and comfortable and plenty of room for our five-person family. The kitchen was very nice and easy to use as well. The only issue was no patio furniture in the back deck area.
The house was very clean and comfortable and had everything our group of 4 ladies needed. Real wine glasses. Great location for going to Longwood Gardens, Winterthur and Nemours. Numerous restaurants. Trolley Square Oyster House, Gallucios ( neighborhood bar/casual restaurant) Columbus Inn, BBC Hosts were very responsive to and questions we had. Would definitely recommend
This property was well-appointed and very comfortable. It was just the right size for our group. It is all situated near to Trolley Square which is a spot with lots of beloved local restaurants. Location, location, location. We would definitely recommend this Vrbo.
The character of 100 year old home with all the modern amenities. Bedrooms are spacious, large kitchen and modern, even has a small workout area with a bike and weights. Actual home is nicer than the pictures Only two minor downsides…sometimes need to park a half block away and bathroom countertops aren’t very big. Overall, a great house…we will be back.
Clean well maintained property. Parking is limited on the street but easily available within a short block. Neighborhood is very safe. Only drawback was a horrible coffee maker that was not usable. Really need a Mr Coffee. Thank goodness Dunkin was only .3 miles away. Great area to walk and good restaurants within a short walk.
Group of 4 women on a girls' trip. We were all happy with the house. It is comfortable, inviting, and spacious with all the creature comforts. We tried several of the recommended restaurants and were happy with all of them. The location was close to all the things we had planned to do and seemed like a pleasant friendly safe neighborhood. We went to Winterthur especially for the enchanted forest .... will not disappoint! Be prepared to walk ... a lot. We went to the Brandywine Zoo and totally enjoyed it. All in all we had a very successful fun time. P.S. Some comments I read prior to our visit had me a bit apprehensive about locking/unlocking the door. We discovered pretty quickly that it is not the lock being temperamental ... you just need to make sure the door is pulled tightly before you try the combination. No regrets with this rental !!!
The townhouse was very comfortable and and well done. We used it as our hub to head out for day trips around Philly, the beach and some family activities we had planned in the area. The neighborhood was nice to take a walk or run and plenty of things within walking distance to make it a convenient location. The only thing we wished the property had was a spot outside on either of the patio/porches to sit to enjoy a morning coffee or evening chat. The backyard area has lots of potential just nothing there yet.
This is definitely a 5+ Star property. It was even better than pictured. Perfect for family or even couples. Easy to get in and out. Plenty of room for large groups. We had 4. Our family reunion was in Philadelphia but it was just over the state line. Comfortable, roomy, lots or room to spread out. The TV was the only downside, no password for us. Parking was not good but we got the hang of it. Clean, very nicely decorated. Will definitely stay again.
Very comfy, great kitchen and location.
I loved staying here with my friends. The home was renovated nicely and the host was accommodating.
My two sisters and I rented Forty Acres for a short vacation together. It's located in a very quiet residential area but within walking distance of some good restaurants, and within close driving distance of a lot of things to do and see in and around Wilmington. It's beautifully appointed (check out the photos on the Vrbo listing) and extremely clean, with very comfortable beds. We had a lot of trouble getting into the house when we checked in, but it's an electronic keypad that uses multiple keycodes, and those things can be very glitchy sometimes. But I don't hold it against the property owner(s). I understand that it's a system that (usually) works extremely well for them, and these things happen, but it's no one's fault. Other than the problem with the door, however, we had a lovely time and really enjoyed the house. I highly recommend staying here.
