Beautiful house and location. Highly recommend.
We spent 5 days with another couple at this home. It alternated between lovely views and disappointment with the home. This home could be amazing if time and money were spent on it. Pros- Lovely property, very private so understand you are 10 minutes on a windy one lane road to get to the main road. Wineries are going to be 35 minutes at least, an hour to Napa. But the views are spectacular and sunsets and sunrises are gorgeous. Landscape around the home very pretty. Also very private and quiet. A long pool to swim laps, it is not heated but that was pointed out so we knew. It’s clean and refreshing. A gravel path takes you down to a seating area that looks over the valley full of vineyards s gorgeous sunsets. Our bed in the master was extremely comfortable, other guests said Murphy bed was fine in pool house and twin beds in second bedroom fine too. We had constant water with no issues, just needs about 5 minutes or so to heat up. The Cons- Pool house shower had no water at all, guests had to shower in main house. This needs to be fixed. Several outlets not working in pool house and also fireplace not working. One guest got stuck in pool house bathroom as the pocket door came out of alignment, they geririgged it to be able to get out, this needs to be addressed and fixed. Weather got warm on the last day, no A/C in pool house. Guests moved to 2nd bedroom but it seems to have no vents or the vents are covered with furniture, it was sweltering in their bedroom. Being in wine country there were very few wine glasses, we left several very nice ones from Caymus and Silver Oaks so hopefully they will remain for the use of future guests. The cookware and utensils for cooking were subpar, they have a nice 6 burner gas stove, please invest in some decent cookware. The house was clean, but some furnishings, lighting, etc are getting tired. Invest in updating. There was just one hairdryer in the house, needs 3. We could not find a remote to get out of the gate , only way was being in a car. There are no written instructions in the whole house , please provide them and not just online. I feel this is a house that’s doing the minimum to keep it as a rental, it has so much potential if the owners would just invest more in it, they could still easily raise the amount and have it booked.
Amazing property . One of the best I’ve ever rented and a good value. A few issues need to be addressed such as the internet connection , and the water pump which had to be reset multiple times per day . Would definitely stay again , it is such a beautiful location .
We loved this home so much! This property needs an information sheet to inform their guests about the water reset system and pool information. When we arrived there was no water. After searching for awhile my son found the reset button in the garage. The pool needs to be cleaned more often. This property should not be over booked. Some days should be set aside for a maintenance crew. While we were there the maintenance crew was there for several hours and we could not use the pool. Otherwise, this place is gorgeous!
This place is so great. Stayed with my wife and 2 other couples and we had the best time. The views and sunsets were incredible. The pool was awesome. I had read the recent review from Karen just before we stayed and was a little worried. Our group found the comments and 1 star review to be completely off base. You will not be disappointed staying here.
My review is based on management and the lack of responsiveness. When we showed up at the home after a long day of travel with little ones, we were greeted with no water anywhere in the house. We tried texting, calling and did not receive a response for hours. My husband tried to figure it out but it is set on a system that kept setting an alarm off. He discovered in the guest house that the hot water was completely disconnected from the hot water heater meaning there is no hot water in the guest house at all. There were no instructions on how to remove the pool cover so we were left to figure that out too. There is no local number to contact for issues in the home, just an 800 number to call. In evening of our first night, the hot water stopped working. We figured the tank ran out of hot water and would try again the next day. We were wrong. We had hot water in the kitchen but nowhere else for the duration of our stay. I couldn’t bathe my kids, nobody could take a shower, and when we called the 800 to report it, they said they would get someone in contact with us and you guessed it, nobody called or stopped by. We tried texting the management company with our frustrations with lack of response, I was told my concern was escalated and would be contacted with a resolution within 2 days. It’s been over a week with no response. The Wi-Fi in the place does not work. You can follow the instructions to unplug the router, wait, plug back in, try the log in instructions. It does not work. I had to reschedule my work calls because the service out here is really spotty. The house itself is beautiful. The pool is stunning. Sunsets are unforgettable. Just wish we had water, hot water, Wi-Fi, instructions and I didn’t have these management response issues to dampen our experience.
There are a few nice feathers such as layout of the home, big pool, and private location. This rental lacks a few things that are kind of important. We didn’t have wifi. I spent two days off and on over the phone and was told it has sporadic wifi capability and I need to be close to modem so so time sensitive work wasn’t done. Upon check in no binder of instructions. When I called I was told pool cover is controlled by a box next to glass doors outside living room which isn’t true. Our calls keep getting dropped because of no wifi and poor connection. I was told to refer to email but I can’t open email because of no wifi. We finally found the box low and behind a tree by the bedroom window instead. We were given inaccurate information and not like we can find access anything without internet. I have not been in a home without instructions binder. This is something they should do with such crap internet. Also we were in wine country and this kitchen doesn’t have wine glasses. Few gobblers. Cooking utensils were grilling tools. C’mon, that is just lazy. Very frustrating stay.
The property was very nice. They do need to fix some broken features. And the outdoor spaces need some sprucing up. But over all it was a wonderful property. The road going up and down is a one lane road. So it is kind of scary if you have to pass a car. Loved the peace and quiet. And we loved the wildlife. Overall it just needs some tender loving care. Great spaces for entertaining.
Beautiful property that is being neglected. Several things didn’t work like the gate and televisions. But the views are beautiful.
Great open plan and the pool house was a great plus. A few items were not functional. Like a few lights a patio door and very slow wi-fi. And we didn’t use the pool as there was a mouse and gecko in the pool when we opened the cover. But great otherwise great views and very open a bright.
