Lovely quiet neighborhood with a beautiful back forest view near the Indiana Dunes National Park. Take a 15 min Walk or 3 min bike ride to the nearby paved trails at Imagination Glen Park. No one can build behind us since it drops down into the beautiful open valley. Beaches are only 15 min away by car

Stayed Jul 31, 2025Although this was a first, staying in someone's basement, Mary made it less awkward than it could have been. The area was very clean and it was peaceful and easy to sleep. I did find some of the clutter in the home a little overwhelming and our area was rather over decorated, leaving little empty space to put a suitcase or other belongings. I still would stay again as it is a great location and a good value.

Stayed Jul 18, 2025Mary provided information before arriving in Indiana. We drove in from Buffalo NY for a family gathering. Our stay was for two nights which were great. We got to meet her precious cats and chat with Mary and her husband. The check in/out process was very detailed which made our stay seamless.100% worth it!!

Stayed Jan 9, 2025I’ve stayed at alot of rentals. This is the first time I’ve stayed at one, that you had to walk in the owners front door and see/talk to them every time you get there. So, for me it was definitely weird. But, I believe the owners made it easier on me. Both were very nice and welcoming. So, it was easier for the rest of my stay. I stayed in the basement. The bed linen was very clean. Very comfy. The downstairs bathroom was huge and clean. Good job guys

Stayed Aug 20, 2024Mary was very accommodating and the living space had everything we ever would need at an affordable price. It was clean, quiet and the house is located in a safe area near the dunes. Because of the great location we were able to both spend a day at the dunes and also spend a day in Chicago by taking the train nearby. I would highly recommend anyone either visiting the dunes or Chicago to stay here and I will be looking to see if the place is available next time I’m in the area. Thanks Mary for providing such an enjoyable stay :)
