The house was comfortable, location great, snow plowing appreciated. A few minor issues, finally resolved.
First off, the house is great. Very close to Crystal Mountain, large with plenty enough room to spread out for a larger group. Three full baths is great. The game room area was great, although the dartboard was not functional even though I was assured by Vacasa that it was prior to arrival. Vacasa doesn’t tell you that the door code they give you is for the service door on the side of the garage, and then they don’t respond timely to texts, and r when they do, it’s not somebody who actually knows anything about it. They just said to “check the other doors”. I don’t know why the door code they give you is for an obscure door, or why they don’t tell you which door it is. Something so simple that could save lots of frustration and fumbling around in the dark and cold.
super clean and organized. Great location to skiing. Hard to get in touch with management over a small issue that was fixed but cost me 2 hours of vacation time on the phone.
The house was incredibly clean & organized. The beds were comfortable with plenty of towels, sheets and blankets. The sauna and hot tub were great & the house was perfect for 5 couples. We needed some help with the hot tub and the hosts were incredibly helpful and quick to resolve the issue. The best rental house we have ever stayed at! We will be back next year!
This was the cleanest rental we have ever stayed in. Immaculate. Loved how close to Crystal Mountain it was. Hanging in the hot tub after skiing was perfect. Kitchen was organized and every cabinet and drawer was labeled. Kids loved having a basement hangout. Having 2 master suites was amazing. Will definitely go back.
The house was meticulously clean and comfortably slept two families of five. It’s proximity to Crystal Mountain made for a convenient ski weekend. We were very disappointed, however, in a few things: (1) The walkway and porch were incredibly icy and we had to buy salt to maintain the property. The ice had arrived days before our stay, so this was surprising. (2) The hot tub has not been properly maintained. It was cold and not usable during the first part of our stay. When the heat finally arrived, we were dismayed to find that it was both dirty and foul smelling (ie, it was not properly chlorinated). One would assume that paying a fee to use the hot tub — a fee that we did not elect to pay and could not opt out of — that it would be clean and ready to go upon our arrival. (3) The basement was absolutely freezing. The air vents are very small and the electric fire place does little to circulate heat. Thankfully, the house was well stocked with blankets or the basement would not have been a great space to be. (4) The property is managed by a private company (Vacasa), and while that made the check-in process seamless, it was nearly impossible to communicate with a real person. While I reported these issues during our stay, I did not get an emailed response until almost a full week later.
Our group of 4 adults and 6 kids stayed here to ski at Crystal. The size was great for our two families and it is just a few minutes away from skiing. Areas for improvement- the house has a funny smell and could have used an air freshener before our arrival, there were not very many towels, and the kitchen was quite disorganized.
Everything was great and as advertised with this property. The only reason I could not give it 5 stars was because it wasn’t perfect but a very very nice place to stay. The 2 cons were the King Bed was in the basement and the fireplace. When the fireplace actually did work (2 times over 4 days we got it to turn on) it was kinda disappointing, looks like the flame you’d get off your BBQ burners. House was very clean and cozy. I would recommend that during the winter snowing season that the maintenance company come by and plow the driveway and salt the walk way. There are no gutters on the front of the home so the melt comes right off the roof and creates a skating rink on the walk way and front porch. Would definitely come back!
We came to celebrate our dad’s/Grandpa’s Birthday, and the home was very cozy, clean, and comfortable for 7 people. It was in a very peaceful area with no noise and a lot of space. Many things to do close by if you wanted but the home was perfect with the game room and everything else it had to offer! We will definitely be coming back!!
