Very quiet neighborhood, walking distance to coffee shops and beach access. Nice house, deco was up to date.
Older, quirky home in a great location. Decently equipped and walkable to the beach.
The positive: The house had all the amenities we needed for a week at the beach for our family of 5 and 2 dogs. Plenty of towels for house and beach, laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, dishes, pots, pans, utensils, toilet paper, etc. (So nice to actually have enough for the week!) Couch was huge for lounging. Plenty of movies to watch, books to read, games to play and a short walk to the beach. The negative: The house is a bit worn down and smelled like wet dog and dog pee, but after picking up fabreeze, baking soda, and washing the blankets... it improved. Kids room bunk beds are falling apart and should be replaced. King bed is very firm. Even with the above, if you don't need a fancy place, and want a well stocked home for your beach adventure... Would return! P.S. not. Big deal, but toaster was broken and could have used some oven mitts and couple more kitchen towels.
Perfect place to relax in comfort with your best friends!
The house was well stocked with everything we needed during the trip, in a great location, and a quiet neighborhood. The beach was a few minutes away, but easy to get to and from.
I have submitted both via message and email our experience. Overall we had a good stay there where a lot of missed opportunities on the Host part.
Pictures were not current--Living Room sofa threadbare. Low flow toilets may be an issue since it's an older home -- they required plunging a lot. The master bathroom shower dripped loudly and we couldn't shut it off, no matter how hard we pushed on it. Overhead lights in both bathrooms and dining area, as well as the bedroom with the full bed flicker like they're going outl
This property is a cute older home with a few quirky features. It is a bit of a hike to the local beach, but there is a nice parking lot that we were able to drive to for easy access to it, and we went most every day. It was about a 15-minute drive to larger grocery stores. The kitchen was well stocked, and there were two dining areas. There was a large living room with hundreds of books, a selection of both VHS tapes and DVDs to watch on the large television, as well as a few games and kids' toys. The couch easily fit the four people in our group. There were two bathrooms that were adequate, but nothing fancy. The master bedroom was large with a king-sized bed. The two other bedrooms were on the smallish side, but we only had one child in each room so that wasn't a problem. The laundry area is accessed through an old garage, but it functioned properly. We were there during a rainy week, and so we didn't use the yard or front porch. It was a good base of operations to access the greater Tillamook Coast. The Cape Meares Lighthouse was a less than 10-minute drive from the property, and was a fun destination. (Google maps tried to send us the long way around, which is blocked off!) Overall, it was a great place to stay.
This house is close to the beach you can walk if you don’t mind walking hills. You can hear the ocean from Thai house but can’t see it which is okay because the house is spacious and has plenty of room to spread out. The 2nd bath is really just a tub with a handle you can pick up. The furniture is older but it serves its purpose.
Nice older style home in beautiful Oceanside. Kitchen was well equipped, and so was the entertainment center. When we were not on the beach or headlands we enjoyed thumbing through a wide assortment of older CD's and VCR. Dog friendly too!
The house is close to the beach. Communication was timely. House is family friendly in that it's filled with toys, games, and movies. Has ample towels and a decently stocked kitchen. There are some holes in the walls and is in need of new mattresses, but is overall homey.
We loved the house and location.
