Lovely Bayside Condo with Spacious Deck Overlooking Canal w/Shared Pool, WiFi

Great location, loved the patio furniture, beds were very comfortable, overall very solid unit. Only a couple minor issues: lighting has been rewired and for whatever reason new switches have been added, with wires running outside the wall in conduits and the old switches still remain. Makes it tough to keep straight which switch goes with which light. The large living room downstairs only has a couple lamps on one side of the room so the other half stays pretty dark. The floor on the main level kept turning our feet/socks black.

Loved the location. Right on the water and great proximity to town. Even with the little things we had a great time and would definitely return.

First thing we noticed when we arrived was a foul smell in the kitchen and fruit flies. After investigating the smell, we found a brownish yellow smelly liquid inside the dishwasher. We had to run it empty to get rid of the liquid and bad smell. The dishes, glasses, cookware, and silverware were all dirty so we had to wash them before we could even use them. The microwave smelled bad, like whatever food had been previously heated up. The floors made our feet turn black within the first 10 minutes of walking barefoot, so we had to clean the floors. There was an ant infestation in the living room. We notified Vacasa and asked for ant traps. We were told the local team would contact us; however, we never received the ant traps. So we had to clean the floors multiple times and try to identify the source of the ants. It appeared that the prior tenants spilled something on the deck and inside the sliding door, which was drawing them inside. We didn’t receive enough towels and zero washcloths. Vacasa did drop off the additional towels the day after we arrived, so that issue was resolved. The bed quilts all had stains on them so we asked Vacasa for clean quilts, but we never received them. Lamp shades were broken. There were light switches in weird places and we couldn’t figure out which light switch worked each light. The temperature through the townhouse was uneven and the master bedroom was always the warmest room in the house. The counters were sticky. There was toothpaste on the bathroom faucet. The bathroom vent was covered in dust. The general cleanliness was our major complaint and Vacasa did not resolve our issues (other than the towels) when we notified them of the problems. I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 because the pool was nice and wasn’t too busy. If you enjoy the bay, it was nice to be on the water. The location is within close driving distance to many restaurants and attractions. The master bed was comfortable. Overall, we would NOT rent this property again.
