Awesome place! Do not hesitate. We hope to return soon.
We picked the house as we went skiing at Powderhorn. It was super convenient to Powderhorn. The property is beautiful, we saw deer daily in the yard.
Beautiful views into the valley. Nice home.
Beautiful location! Beautiful property! Our entire family enjoyed the stay. Just wish we could have stayed longer! While it is a little bit of a drive into town (Grand Junction) there are a couple of convenience stores in Mesa, CO if you need something. The satellite internet is a little flaky and cell single is not always good. So you may need to enjoy your stay without being able to stay connected. (That was an issue for us! We enjoyed being able to unplug. There was no firewood so we needed to provide our own. Overall, we would recommend and would love to stay in this property again.
The property was amazing as well as the views – it was clean and crisp, and the wraparound porch was a really nice place to sit and hang out! Highly recommend ?
We stayed 3 nights Thursday-Sunday as our daughter got married at the Powderhorn Mountain Ski resort. This home was only 5 miles away, and was dog friendly. Directions were spot on, home easy to find and easy to gain access. With the stunning 360 views; huge well-stocked kitchen, multiple eating areas, beautiful decor, large bedrooms and bathrooms; entertaining family for dinner was a treat and a pleasure. Our daughter, two of her bridesmaids and their two daughters plus our son stayed with us and there were ample beds and room for all. The games and toys were appreciated. We did not have time to enjoy the outdoor space like we wanted to, but what a lovely area. The ample parking and total privacy was an added bonus. Would definitely recommend this property.
This was a great place to stay. It was quiet and peaceful. The views are incredible. We would love to come back. It was a great trip.
Within 10 minutes of arriving, my wife was making plans to come back next year to stay longer. The house is spacious without feeling too big, it's comfortable, and the view out the north-facing windows is amazing. It's also far enough from any neighbors to feel private without being so far out in the wilderness that you feel like you're entirely on your own. The property manager was also welcoming and responsive to our questions. It's about 45 minutes from Grand Junction one way, and only about 15 minutes from cool, aspen-covered mountains the other way. The house has all the amenities you need along with a lot of games and toys for the whole family. We really enjoyed staying there, and will probably be back.
We enjoyed a very relaxing stay here - the house is very well equipped and the views are unbeatable! Highly recomended.
We used the house for a family ski trip to Powderhorn. It was less than a 10 min drive to the ski hill and also close to nice local market. Felt like home there. Internet is very slow, but that can probably be expected in this remote area.
This property was easy to find and close to Powderhorn. The views were breathtaking. The kitchen and dining area was spacious and fully stocked with plates and items needed for cooking (we cooked steak and lobster and all the sides for a New Year's Eve feast and the kitchen had everything we needed to do that). The real fireplace in the living room was cozy. Plenty of bedrooms and space for our party of seven. The only issue we had was with trying to figure out the tv and the wi-fi didn't work all the time. Great visit!
This house was perfect for a ski getaway. It was very close to Powderhorn. The house was beautiful and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. The teens loved the games. We would love to stay again.
We found this to be a perfect place to spend Thanksgiving with our extended family. It is a well-equipped, easy-to-find property located on the slope of the Grand Mesa, a unique, volcanic, flat-topped mountain in Western Colorado. The views of the river valleys below and the mountains beyond are spectacular and there are hiking, biking and skiing opportunities close by. This is a wonderful place to stay for family and friends as long as it is properly maintained.
Property was great and had everything we needed. Would definitely go back for those views.
We were very pleased with our overall stay. Beautiful location with great views for sure. Nice private area for our family to spend time together. The Mesa area is a must see and we will be back to explore more in the future. A few things I might suggest changing: 1. The hot water does not meet the number of guests allowed to stay. Although we paid for 2 extra children, they did not use the showers or baths and we still ran out of hot water with 3 showers left. 2. The kitchen was disorganized and missing a number of normal utensils. 3. The cleaning fee was quite high. For $250, we were surprised by the dog hair all over the floor, in the couches and elsewhere around the house. We would definitely stay here again, it really was a nice place, just offering some suggestions for improvement.
Great location with a beautiful view. Listen to the babbling brook while outside stargazing. The house is dated but is still a nice family mountain house that is clean. The kids played bumper pool for hours. Would definitely stay again.
What a lovely place to stay. We did a lot of driving during our stay so we didn't get to hang out a ton in this home, but it was a perfectly comfortable place to sleep, roomy and stocked up for all our needs, especially the children. We loved seeing the deer in the morning! Thanks!
