Property was nice. Has new back deck but needed cleaned (no broom available for us to clean). Had plenty of sleeping space but mattresses old, need replaced. Carpet stained. Kitchen was nice and has new appliances. We didn’t spend much time there and it was fine for us. Also, basement window needs secured. Overall it was good for what we needed.
The house was close to Lees Ford and Fishing Creek boat ramps. It was the perfect size for our family of 6.
Close to lake and Somerset.. We had a nice stay..
Our stay was great the driveway in the picture is not as big as it looks. It’s not big enough for multiple trucks or enough room for a pontoon. Bathrooms didn’t have hooks in them to hang wet towels. And the gas grill was absolutely dirty when we arrived. We thought the house was clean and had everything it says it does on the website
We had a nice time at this location. There was plenty of towels, rags. The beds were nice. Plenty of seating. Rooms were large with large closets. Cons: there is nowhere to hang towels to let them dry. Some command hooks in the master bath would have been helpful. Rental can accommodate 6 comfortably, but the cookware was small - made it harder to cook our meals. The deck and seating outside were very dirty. Would’ve been nice to enjoy it but I’m not cleaning all that. Everything else was great. Thank you!
Renting through vrbo was so simple.
Very responsive
This isn’t a bad place, but here’s what you’re up against: Love that there were plenty of towels, didn’t love that there was LITERALLY no where to hang them. Not a single towel hook or bar in the entire house. Loved that the appliances were new, didn’t love that there wasn’t a sponge to hand-wash any dishes. Typically in a home rental there is soap and shampoo in the bathrooms; none here. We had to go buy some. There was hand soap to wash your hands, though. And it smelled good! We arrived after dark, and we couldn’t see to enter the house. The front porch lights don’t work. There are no lights illuminating the driveway either. Lucky for me I remembered a headlamp in the car. There is a really pretty wooded backdrop behind the house with a new deck, it’s just unfortunate that the deck and table and chairs were covered in twigs, small branches, leaves, etc. so if you wanted to use it, you have to do some major cleanup first. Clearly no padding under the older carpet throughout the home. It felt like the carpet was sitting right on top of the plywood subfloor. A/C worked great! WiFi was fast! Cable box was unplugged and the remote for the cable box didn’t have any batteries in it. Neighborhood was very quiet, in a great location near Lake Cumberland, which is why we were in town in the first place, so all these issues were fairly easy to overlook, but, I wouldn’t stay here again, sorry to say.
We enjoyed staying here but have a few suggestions. There are no hooks in bathrooms to hang towels. We only had one kitchen towel and one cloth. And a sponge to clean dishes would be nice. The can opener did not work. The mattress upstairs is very uncomfortable. It would have been been nice to load and run the dishwasher. We had to run it and empty which is a lot to do when you already are trying to pack up and get out by 11.
Overall, I was satisfied with the property we stayed at. A couple minor things could be improved, but I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again!
