Log Cabin Lake House

Had a wonderful stay! So close to town and yet you feel very remote. We have multiple group interests in our family bikers/runners, the heartland trail was in our backyard! Fishing , water boarding , kayaking and all enjoyed an evenings around the fire. The house worked great for our large group! Would definitely come again!

Very relaxing atmosphere for my family (6 adults). Perfect central location in the state between where we live and our adult children live. This cabin is large & roomy enough if you want to escape from your large group to a quiet area for privacy to maybe enjoy a book or if you wanted to gather together in the large living room or dining room to enjoy a meal or play games. There is a nice comfy lower level family room. There was a wonderful patio to enjoy barbecuing and campfire. If you have dogs it was a great house for your animals to enjoy the large private yard. We all took a pontoon ride and went down to the south end through the little channel outlet into Long Lake and we stopped to enjoy the little sandbar area and went swimming. Both lakes are extremely clean lakes. My family totally enjoyed this log cabin & would definitely stay here again.

Nice and spacious, lots of beds. Main floor has lots of room to hang out. Basement could use some updating, but not a big deal. Nice quiet lake with channel to other lake with sand bar. Good fishing, caught some nice bass. Having pontoon included was huge!!! Older but runs perfectly! Host very responsive with my questions. Overall great stay

We thrive in this place. The grounds and cabin are very well maintained. The view is beautiful. We are booked again for next year.

The view is absolutely beautiful and outside area is very nice. The cabin is older but very clean and comfortable. The one problem we had was not enough hand towels and no washcloths. That was frustrating. I'm hoping they will fix that issue for the next guest

We loved this cabin - perfectly sized for our family getaway...plenty of room for all of us! Nicely decorated and stocked with everything we needed. We really enjoyed the quiet lake...kayaking and on the pontoon. Pontoon was a great bonus. A couple glitches upon check-in due to the previous occupants, but owner was very responsive to our phone call. We would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed the location to Walker and Leach Lake for our Father- Son weekend of fishing and golf

We were looking for a lake home up north with plenty of room for the 6 of us, good fishing off the dock, and a boat to fish the lake. The 2 grandkids wanted to experience the fun of being on a lake and catching some fish. The house was perfect for us and the pontoon boat was easy to drive and fish from. The kids caught a lot of big bass in the 2-3 lb range and one monster over 5. They were thrilled to be able to drive the boat. Everything was set up for easy use. Immediately felt like home. Walker is a fun little town and within walking distance. Shari was an excellent host quickly answering any questions we had.

Our family had a wonderful time at the lake, swimming and playing bags as well as some great shopping in Walker. The Heartland trail was great for some long bike rides.

This place was the bomb. We had a family of five and one five year-old. Everyone had their own private space yet the open floor plan brought us together for fun games and meals. The view of the lake was so relaxing, the house as a whole gave a sense of wellness. Traveling to town was super easy and quick. The pontoon was so fun to use. This setup would be fantastic for multiple families who need to be close. We will definitely be booking this in the future!
