Locomotive House Churchill, Fair & Expo, Bourbon Trail, YUM! Free Parking!

Stayed at the Locomotive House for a conference at the Kentucky Expo Center. Short drive back and forth. Kroger close by. No parking available on the street in the evening so we parked inside the back gate. Close to the railroad tracks but trains do not whistle so noise is minimal however it is by the train tracks so vigilance is a must. Great communication with host, he received repair notifications graciously. Kitchen a bit scanty to do too much cooking but we made it work. We don't eat out so I can't address local restaurants. Snacks and coffee provided by host were nice for a late arrival. Also, check out was easy, just had to start a load of towels! Sometimes it seems we have to do more work than the cleaning crew that comes in!

Had everything we needed for a 4 night stay! It is very loud with a train track and airport right next to the house so it was hard to sleep. We realized there were noise machines in the rooms (no mention of it in instructions or in the house) but no plugs for them so not useful? Had cute decor and was for the most part clean.

Great location. Quiet. Spacious. Has all the amenities you need for a decent stay. Only complaint would be the internet connection. Consistently gave issues the whole weekend.

Good location for Expo, nice Kroger around corner, railroad close but didn't bother sleep too much, only reason for 4 star for location is railroad tracks. Host was great and very responsive!

We enjoyed our visit to Louisville, Kentucky. The location was close to everything. Everything seemed to be within 15 minutes. We enjoyed the zoo, Kentucky Kingdom & water park, and mega caverns. The stores were located right behind the house location. We traveled downtown to enjoy the city night and had a fun experience. There is so much to do and see in this area. The Locomotive House was a great stay to relax after a action packed day with family. We appreciated that greatly! I would recommend staying at the Locomotive House it was a great experience. Thank you for hosting us! We loved it. :-)

Great stay, churchill downs about 15 min walk

We enjoyed our weekend stay at the Locomotive house! The location was great and simplified our weekend and tournament travel. This house is close to many restaurants, coffee shops, pretty much anything g you’d need. Our host was very prompt and easy to work with on any requests, like our ask to add an additional night when we needed to come a day earlier than originally planned.

The house was super clean and comforting. We were close to U of L and the Expo center. The train did not bother us at all. It goes so slow you barely know it is there. We enjoyed watching it from the upstairs windows.

The home was very accommodating and had everything we needed. I loved the train theme decor.

We had a great stay. The inside is really clean and updated. The high ceilings were so pretty. It was very convenient to have a Kroger store right behind the property as well. The outdoor space needs some updating and does not reflect how nice the inside is. The neighborhood seems just ok.

Front exterior of the home does not match the photo posted. We thought we were at the wrong home. However, the interior is wonderful with everything needed and more. The backyard area is wonderful. Overall the home was great with comfortable accommodations and great bathrooms. The exteriors needs updgrades to make it Awesome.

Lovely property - just as pictured. Host was great at communicating. The house is right up against a train track (thus the name 'locomotive house') but it was not a disturbance at all. The neighborhood looks a little run down but was completely quiet and safe. I would definitely stay here again.

My son was competing at the expo center and this was just perfect. My boys loved having the train next to us. Some may be bothered by how close the train is, but that is not a hidden secret when you book here. We loved our stay here! Always easy to find a parking spot. There's a grocery story, gas station, Starbucks right around the corner. Churchill Downs is also right around the corner. Great location for what we needed! Thank you!
