This is an older home with lots of charm. Our home isn't newly constructed. So we ask that you expect some things to be imperfect. For example the floors and steps may creek, you may have to give drawers and cabinets an extra pull or push. But all of these things can be expected considering the age of the house. We like to call it character.
The driveway is on a hill, so if your vehicle is low to the ground, cut your wheels when pulling in and out of the driveway to avoid scraping spoiler due to the slope of the drive. Be cautions of traffic and pedestrians when backing out. There is room for two large cars.
Due to the proximity of the house to downtown, there is a steady flow of traffic until about 6pm nightly during the week.

The location is ideal, near many trails, restaurants, and microbreweries. The owners are very kind and provide a very clean and safe home to share with others. The water cooler in the dining room is a big plus, especially after nice long hikes on one of the nearby trails. My daughter and her family live in the area, and we had plenty of space to visit in the living room and share some meals in the dining room. The most favorable thing I can say about my stay is this: I look forward to coming back!
The home was older but very clean. Contained everything we needed. Outside property needs attention.
We came out from the D.C. area for the Marathon events. Loved the house and area. Lavone, the VRBO house owner was fantastic and very responsive to any questions. We loved our stay.
Easy booking process. Good and accurate information given regarding the property and checkin process.
The house was as advertised, old but has character. The house is well decorated and we appreciated the extra touches like mints by the door, q-tips, cotton balls and floss sticks in the bathroom and spices in the kitchen. The driveway is a bit tricky, as it is steep and easy to bottom out on. The neighbors were playing music very loudly one night into the early morning, which is no fault of the owner, but definitely affected our sleep. There is no central air, 2 of the bedrooms have window AC units, which were great, but the 3rd bedroom did not, so keep that in mind if you plan to use it for sleep, as it was pretty warm. Otherwise, we had a good experience.
Had a great stay. House is older, but newly renovated. It's located on a roadway that stays pretty busy, but otherwise very nice. Property manager was great and sent us messages daily to make sure we had everything we needed.
My daughter and I really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful old home. It was very easy to get to Stan Hywet Hall from there and within easy driving distance to stores and restaurants in Akron. The house was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. It is on a busy road so sometimes we had to wait a few minutes to be able to back out but it was manageable. LaVone was a great hostess and she was very responsive when we communicated with her. Overall it was a great stay!
Great location to access CVNP. House was clean and comfortable. Yard was disappointing. Host was helpful and pleasant.
LaVone is lovely, and her home is charming and immaculate. This was a very important trip for my brother and me. She made it perfect and warm. Thanks, LaVone. Michael
Property was nice and clean and close to down town.
