6 of us spent the week of Christmas here and it was the perfect place for us. The home was ver nice and had everything we needed. It was spacious which allowed us to plenty of room to spread out. It wasn’t warm enough to use the deck or screened porch but both would be great in the summer. We loved the easy access to hiking trails and other amenities in the community. Amicalola Falls and Dahlonega were good day trips for us, as were the outlet malls in Dawsonville. I would highly recommend this place.
This was our first time visiting Big Canoe and it definitely did not disappoint. The area was a dream and the house was perfect. It was well equipped, extremely clean and in a great location within the neighborhood. We found a perfect little beach on the pond within a very short walking distance. This property exceeded our expectations in every way. I was evenly presently surprised to at there was a crib and a pack and play for my infant daughter already at the house. We can’t wait to come back during the summer!
This is our second time staying in this house - it is a great spot for our family, and the owners are very responsive. Our kids love being able to walk down the hill to the beach club, and it is a quick drive to the marina, hiking trails, golf, and the recreation field. We come to Big Canoe every Labor Day, and we'll certainly try to rent this property again.
We’ve stayed in Big Canoe before with the family, but this was the best!!! Very spacious, very clean, and location to amenities was great. Different family members could walk to lake/pool whenever they wanted and stay there and walk back whenever they wanted. And go back early evening for another fun time. Great time. Big thanks to hosts. Very easy to contact with any questions or assistance.
Back soon
What a great home! My 2 sisters and our families returned to Big Canoe after visiting the area 35 years ago. We rented a home for each sister, as our children from the earlier visit now had children. The house was so roomy. It was close to the lake area with so much to do! We had a grand time! Some of the other family members visited from their homes nearby (within walking) for a pasta night and games of Family Feud. We had folks from 10 months to 69! Was perfect for all! Joy was wonderful and had prompt replies to all my questions or concerns! We definitely made a great choice!
Beautiful house in Big Canoe. Close to amenities. Spacious enough to accommodate a large family of 10. Great getaway for our family.
We had a great time. Highlight was our hike up to lower falls. Hilly neighborhood, but great house and area. Joy was very easy to work with and kept up needed communication.
This home was absolutely perfect for our family. Christmas! Photos did not do it justice. It is everything you see in pictures and more. Spacious, clean, well appointed, charming and comfortable. Hosts were more than accommodating and incredibly kind, friendly and attentive. So grateful for their hospitality and generosity.
The house is exactly as the pictures show! Was very comfortable for 5 couples. We would highly recommend!
This was a wonderful house - great location in close proximity to golf, the park, and the marina. The room setup on multiple floors provided nice privacy for 3 different family units, and the house had everything we needed for the long weekend.
Our family visits Big Canoe each summer before kids return to school. We need a minimum of 5 bedrooms and this property was more than adequate for our group. Will definitely consider this particular house next year. The location to amenities is excellent. We had a couple of minor details that were taken care of immediately. Thoroughly enjoyed this time.
We enjoyed our stay so much that we didn’t want to leave! It was a beautiful home with great scenery!
The property was clean, well kept and in a great location. Our family enjoyed the amenities of the community, layout of the property and all the comforts of this fantastic home!
My large extended family highly enjoyed staying at this home! It is huge and each floor has multiple places to hang out together. The home was clean and had everything we needed stocked in the kitchen to make our stay easy and enjoyable! The house is in the PERFECT location at Big Canoe to get to the beach club, pool, and lake area. We walked to and from the beach every day with our kids. There was so much to do, so the kids never got bored. The beach area had tons of inflatables, kayaks, paddle boards etc. for the bigger kids. The little kids loved the pool and swimming, and the two rock slides were our favorite part of trip!
This is a 4-star rental that could be a 6 for some people but, be aware of the following: steep stairs up & down, only room for 2 cars in driveway, price for lake access is expensive (example parens and 2 kids = close to $100/day). Even with the above flaws, would rent again.
