The outdoor chapel located on a bluff overlooking the river provides the serenity for introspective reflection or to become closer to God.

It was a pleasant stay. Home was very cozy. Beautiful grounds. We celebrated my year anniversary of receiving my gift ( a heart).
Our daughter is in a wheelchair. Access was one of the best she has experienced. She was also able to test out a track chair.
We spent a week at Liberty Lodge with 6 adults and 2 young children and we had a great time! The facility was very clean and spacious. The provided linens and towels were quality and the kitchen was well stocked. My family had a great time, watching movies, playing games, and doing family meals. We spent time at the lodge and also used it as home base for several excursions such as to the Toledo Zoo; swimming at Hayes State Park; Hidden Gardens, and hiking at Watkins Lake State Park. We loved the fire pit right out the back door and the spacious terrace. We rented the golf cart for the last 4 days of our trip and it was well worth it to be able to drive all around the property. The only issues were caused by mother nature and beyond anyone's control which were the abundance of tics requiring frequent tic checks and due to a lack of rain the river was down several inches so fishing wasn't great. Thanks for a wonderful week!
We loved the house everything was so spacious and the bathrooms were done so well. W rented the golf cart to get around the property which I would recommend. Saw all kinds of wildlife, went fishing, watched fireworks from the back.yard at night. Took kids swimming at Wampler's Lake . It was a wonderful week and the history behind the Liberty Lodge regarding disabled Veterans was an added bonus for us having.do many veterans in our own family!
This property is just as it’s listed. Roomy, clean and a lot of yard space. We were there to lay my mom and sister to rest in Tecumseh and this was near family and friends. There is a large outdoor patio with plenty of tables and chairs and a great fire pit. Liberty Lodge worked very well for us. One of our friends thought this might be a great place for their daughter’s wedding reception so they might look into it. All in all it was a great place to stay.
Myself, my son (wheelchair), granddaughter, my sister-her daughter & husband. Liberty Lodge attracted me because of it's accessibility for folks in wheelchairs. Outstanding amenities for all. Friendly, helpful, and prompt communication with hosts. Just arrive, unpack, enjoy! Great grounds abounds with nature. We had a terrific time. We hope to come back. And thanks for the support of our Veterans from Liberty Lodge.
Get-togethers with the whole family are all too few. How to please everyone in a group of 9? My husband got to see his football game and listen to the excellent sound system on outdoor speakers. The kids could ram around on the trails in total safety. My dil could cook in the kitchen that had everything. We kayaked and canoed with my sons’ watercraft. My fire master built campfires every night. I heard “this place is incredible!” Dozens of times. But the most blissed family members were the dogs, in dog nirvana.
The house was amazingly beautiful! No expense spared on the building of the house. Beautiful tilework, granite and marble counters, comfortable beds and great furniture! So many different tables for eating, playing cards, food preparation. I have stayed in many VRBOs and this may be the most well stocked house! They thought of everything! The property had beautiful trails cut all through the amazing fields of wildflowers that we walked. I work somewhat with native plants and I noticed the LACK of invasive species in the fields that were just blooming with beautiful things! Great speaker system that went inside and out. The place is used for Disabled Veterans at times so it was very awkward when the vets came and wanted to use the property, of course they are veterans we cant tell them no! But we also rented the place for privacy so that was a little strange to deal with... but they wanted to use the trails and what not also and said they were members so what do you say? Did not take away from the amazing house! Also the grounds keeper drove up fast and aggressively pulled his truck right up next to the tables we were all sitting at to deliver some wood seemed very strange like he was checking on us and then said he wanted to mow in the middle of our outside dinner, we asked him not to and he said that was totally fine, then he came back at 830am on saturday and mowed, not very cool...
This is an amazing property and private lodge. The hosts were incredibly helpful before and throughout our stay and made sure we had a track electric wheelchair for our daughter to cruise the trails. The lodge is well furnished and the beds were very comfortable. We had a great time hiking the property enjoying the wildflowers, deer, and wild turkeys. We also did kayaking and fishing on the property and caught a Pike and Bass. There is also a variety of things to do in the area including good restaurants in nearby towns, antiquing, horseback riding, boating, kayaking and much more. Most of all it was a quiet and relaxing time for our family to getaway and enjoying bonfires and the amazing setting. We will be back again!
