Great location and setting. Wonderful dinning room with large square table we used often. Pet friendly! Our grandchildren said it was the ebst house we have had and we do Christmas like this every 2 years so high praise. Sorry to say we did break one glass. Sorry for the late recview.

Talk about a loaded kitchen. Every appliance you could want, perfectly labeled drawers, and an amazing stove/oven. We had some wonderful family time at this home. Plenty of space for a family of 8, even had an extra room. Pretty clean for a pet-friendly place. Under the couch is a little scary (we lost a toy, that’s why we looked lol) but otherwise clean. water pressure left something to be desired. Location is perfect. Out of town and private but only 20 mins from all Duluth things. The views are incredible, even in the winter! I would definitely stay here again.

Despite -50F temperatures, we had a lovely stay! The kitchen was phenomenal though there could be some more silverware. Some cleaning supplies was hard to locate or empty, but overall that doesn't impact the score. The sauna was wonderful but maybe sand the walls a little? Maybe that would mess up the wood, but bare skin on rough wood can result in splinters. One of the washing machines didn't work, but it's a good thing there was another. All this nitpicking might seem negative, but all of my friends adored the cabin and weekend. We'll be back!

Everyone enjoyed skating on the pond. There was plenty of room for us - eight adults, six kids, and three dogs! The kitchen had everything you could possibly need for cooking, although it was a little short on silverware.

Beautiful home that can accommodate a large group. The pond was shoveled , and lite up with lights. The grandkids ice skated & sledded. The outdoor sauna was a hit with the adults, as was the pool table. The house provided ice skates , snow shoes and many family games. Highly recommend & plan to visit again.

The host communicated well! The hiuse was very clean and the Christmas tree was perfect for our family's holiday get together! The location was beautiful and we enjoyed the sauna! We would definitely come back!

We rented Lester River Pines for an intimate family wedding. The house exceeded our expectations and met every need. Thank you for helping provide a lovely memory for our daughter.

Lovely home. Very comfortable with many amenities. Loved the sauna. Beds are super comfortable. Great for a gathering of 12 people. Also Host was very responsive to fix an issue within hours. We will be back.

First time renting a home for a vacation let alone to host my daughter’s micro wedding, so wasn’t sure what to expect. The owner and management team were so helpful & patient in answering my numerous questions. House was clean, very well stocked and beautifully put together. My family, many from Sweden, absolutely LOVED the sauna! Home was inviting, views were spectacular and we even saw a bald eagle! Amazing amazing amazing - thank you!

Beautiful property in a great location. Easy launch point to Duluth and Two Harbors. Great size - housed 8 adults and 6 children comfortably with lots of room for the kids to run around outside and downstairs.

Excellent in almost every way.

The house was perfectly suitable for my family of 13. Plenty of space. The kids loved taking the boats onto the pond.

The property seemed some secluded, but it was not that far from the activities we want to participate in and the things we wanted to see while in Duluth. We did eat at the house and the grill and Blackstone were great. I could not get the oven to work.

We had a good time. Space was great and the yard, pond and trail were fun. The owner gave us some good suggestions of things to do and was responsive to questions.

Great location, very private and peaceful! Would recommend putting pet costs in listing so customers are not surprised. It would have also have been nice to have additional towels as 1 per person is not enough and no one wants to do laundry on vacation. Landscaping could be improved but it is the beginning of the season. We were allowed to check in early which was great as we were from around 3 hours away. Overall great property. Clean. Good experience and communication.

Beautiful property with trails and nature all around.

We we in town for a grad school graduation and this place was the perfect base camp for our group of friends and family. The building and location are absolutely stunning and near plenty of hiking opportunities or even a run into town if need be. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. Would absolutely recommend. Being dog friendly was a major plus too!

Beautiful quiet wooded setting, our family had a lovely stay. Lovely home, everything was beautiful and so clean. Our stay was short, would definitely love to plan to be here again for a longer stay. Peaceful setting, loved sitting on the deck overlooking the pond & woods. Highly recommend!

This was our second stay at this house. I can’t say enough about it! The property is on a very private and scenic lot, and the views are beautiful. We had tons of fun sliding down the hills and playing in the fresh snow. The house is spacious with plenty of room for our group of ten. It was clean, comfortable and very well appointed. We definitely want to keep going back!

We brought our families together for a UMD reunion and the house was perfect! We had plenty of space for our group. We loved the location of feeling separate, but yet fairly close to everything. The owners seem to be making enhancements that will make it even better. There was plenty of games, cooking utensils, dishes, etc. Entire process was smooth. We'll be back!

Fantastic house, clean and exactly if not more than the listing says!

We absolutely loved our time there. It is peaceful and quiet. The home has great character and it was a lovely home to spend some quality time with our friends and family. The owners did not mind our dog and actually got to meet him and it felt so good to not have to worry about people being too close. We were able to walk our dog without a lease for once on the property.

We spent a few days here while celebrating my graduate school graduation. The house is gorgeous and had plenty of space for my family and friends. We plan to book again during the summer!

We found this house as it was in our budget and had a bough beds for our Girl Scout Troop. 20 min away from Bentleyville and it worked perfectly! The girls enjoyed the living room and kitchen space.

Seemed isolated, but still very close to Duluth.

We had a great experience for our company training. The accommodations were nice and the location was perfect. We loved the fireplace. The downsides, the dishwasher was really gross, we did not want to wash our own dishes in it - we handwashed everything, bathroom caulking was black and peeling and it would have been nice to have extra scrubbers in the kitchen. There was only one smoke detector that we could find, which is unsettling when we had a fire in the fireplace. Oh also, the Blackstone grill would have been amazing to use! It was really gross (it looks like the last people who used it, did not clean it off at all) and it was rusty too, just sadly not cared for which is a shame we were excited to use it. We'd come back again but we'd bring our own pans, fire detectors and scrubbers from home.

15 of us stayed here. Our family had a great time. Beautiful location - fun exploring and seeing deer from the decks! We were only disappointed that the sauna was not finished for us to use. The host was excellent about responding to our calls and texts. We highly recommend these wonderful accommodations!

This place has a great view of a pond and woods all around. It was very clean, nice size beds, quiet and perfect spot for us to retreat.

The location and scenery are breathtaking! Had everything we needed to cook all our meals! Loved having a washer and dryer, so no dirty clothes came home with us. Check in and out was easy!

We loved the location, the space was great and the house was well supplied with what we needed. We didn’t use the bedroom by the entryway on the main level because it didn’t have a window. Hopefully a bathroom will be added to the basement. There were areas that were missed getting cleaned. Our family vacation was amazing. We have a wonderful time and our pets had so much room.

We loved the house and were pleased with all of the facilities. We especially appreciated the tables and benches on the deck. We spent the majority of our time outside, which is a special treat during September in Duluth!

This house was the perfect location for a bachelorette party, there was plenty of space for everyone and looked exactly like the pictures when booking. Can’t recommend this property enough for a large group!

Great location and bedroom configuration for our family weekend

What a great home and location for a family vacation. We enjoyed the deck, the view, the privacy, big kitchen and all of the bedrooms. It was perfect for our extended family to all congregate together in the mornings and evenings and close enough to Duluth and the North Shore to go on fun adventures during the day. Thanks so much.

This home is located in such a beautiful setting. Nature surrounds you day and night. The beds were comfortable and our family enjoyed both inside and outside activities. The Duluth/NorthShore area has much offer for hiking, biking and overall outdoor enjoyment. We could’ve used an extra refrigerator as there were 12 of us but the owners were timely and efficient in response to any questions we had prior to arriving and after so we were prepared with extra coolers. There was adequate porch space to make use of for them. The deck surrounding the entire back side if the house is amazing and we all loved that space.

Overall, we were happy with our stay. There was two families of 5, kids ranging from 9-17. Like all my review, I just list pros and cons: Pros Great location - far from any city noise - beautiful woods - great setup for firepit - all we needed in the kitchen for pots and pans - host was responsive when we were running low on toilet paper - lots of firewood available in nearby building - grill and Blackstone available - comfy beds Cons It was unusually hot when we were there, so a bit of a struggle with warm rooms sometimes as it didn't have full central air from what we could tell - a few mosquitos got in through windows that had window A/C units - a few kids used the bathtub while others were showering and we ran out of hot water for a bit - just spread out showers and you'll be fine - pond was very green, so kids didn't want to swim, but had fun regardless - the pedal boat was outdated, but was usable - the canoe didn't have a usable oar - the listing says it has a sauna, but it's not your typical sauna - it was old school and I'm not sure it worked The house satisfied our needs to get away for a few days and relax.

Our trip to Duluth was wonderful and the property was perfect for our family of 15 adults and kids. There were great places to gather and be together yet each family had their own space. The outdoor area was beautiful even though the weather prevented us from being outside very much during our stay. Thankfully the indoor space was great.
