We bought this house about five years ago after looking for 'the place' to retire....The gourmet market 'Bristol Farms' is across from the gate guarded entry and our neighborhood reflects the quality of life we have enjoyed....
Every room of the house has been refreshed with new flooring, painting and custom changes that make the 1,550 SF feel just right, two king size beds accommodate the adults in your a flexible room that could be the office as it is now or a third bedroom.
Many of the fine pieces of furniture we acquired to provide you with an unforgettable experience have a story... two large leather lounge chairs make an afternoon nap so easy, like flying first class...a down filled Kriess collection couch fits many guests and the formal dining room can seat six adults with two children as well.
We decided on a Zen Asian look for the overall interior design of this home...'Century' hardwood furniture in the Chin Hua style provide storage in both the family room and bedrooms and the same features continue the look into the separate dining room.
A black granite island in the kitchen allows for two seats and an all around work space...New quartz counters and steel appliances complete the kitchen image. The master shower is now completely customized with a 4 inch walkover dam and Carrera marble surround.
We have no traditional in ground pool to use so we built something else.
Our outdoor 'Kyoto relaxation pool' is a different experience to enjoy....Fresh hot water falls into a black whirlpool bath for hours of relaxation, and you may add salts, fragrances or oils for special treatments before all is washed away down the drain and all guests can start with a fresh beginning.
Our home is only five minutes from the I-10 freeway, and the College of the Desert complex which includes a 72 acre world class regional Park...21 beautiful sculptures adorn the concrete pathways designed for walking or biking....Next door is the McCallum theater where we recently enjoyed the 'Ten Tenors' from Australia...1st class entertainment.
'The River" shopping mall is about eight minutes away as is El Paseo and many fantastic golf courses....All three Marriott courses and Westin's Desert Willow are within that group...I have played them all and will guide you to the best deals available...Sherman's deli is next to Bristol Farms and Albertson's is on the opposite corner....Best burger in town is within walking distance as well.
The Eisenhower medical center is four minutes away with an urgent care office just across Monterey...
The minimum rental period allowed by our HOA is 30 days.... I have a week in a two bedroom unit at Marriott's Shadow Ridge so if I can't help you here maybe that place would work.

Great location and wonderful Palm Desert community! Loved everything about it and will return!
We enjoyed spending the harshest part of the Minnesota winter in this house. I worked from here via video vs working from home via video.. Nice private backyard, plenty of space indoors and out for way more than us two. We aren’t normally recliner people, but they were comfortable, and maybe we could become recliner people.... We walked the neighborhood each day, and it’s well kept and has nice Mountain View’s. Groceries, a few restaurants, and services are a few blocks away. Communication with the owner was good and timely when we had questions. Great WiFi. Note, the owners use this as a second home, and there is the normal household accumulated stuff in some cabinets and garage. We didn’t mind that, the dressers, closets, and bathroom vanities were empty and held “our stuff” with no issue. This is a nice house in a nice neighborhood.
Owner of property (John) was vary nice and understanding was great with communication, parking in drive way was tight with big truck , but property had everything you needed , overall was great for my trip
What a delightful place to spend the winter months. This lovely home is located in a private, well maintained, gated community. Within walking distance are 2 grocery stores, half a dozen good restaurants, and Eisenhower Urgent Care. We (plus our dog) enjoyed the sunshine in the private backyard. We highly recommend and would be back next year if we didn’t have to go to Texas!
John's home is very nice and conveniently located by grocery stores, Starbucks, pizza and other necessities. It's about halfway between I-10 and Hwy 111. It is the perfect location. The gated community made me feel very secure. It is a very quiet neighborhood. It was ideal for my stay. After my two day drive to arrive at the home, there was even a refreshing bottle of wine in the refrigerator just waiting for me. A nice touch!
My husband and I were fortunate to find this property to rent via a mutual friend of the owner. It turned out to be the perfect place for us to spend our first 2 winter escapes from the Northeast. The location is perfect for walking around the gated community of houses as well as quick trips to Temecula and San Diego. Abundant golf courses are near by and shopping areas are close enough to walk to if desired. For tennis fans, it is close to the Indian Wells Tennis Center and the Marriott, which has an active tennis program. Nearby Joshua Tree National Part offers great hiking, picnicking and sightseeing.
