Stayed Jan 30, 2026We are a group of middle-aged ice fishermen. So, this will not be an in depth, critique every little thing, kind of review. House was clean, spacious, and well stocked with all the essentials. We had no issues checking in or checking out. we had a great time and would stay here again.

Stayed Sep 19, 2025We enjoyed our stay in this lovely home. It felt homey and welcoming. Plenty of space for the 10 of us. Everything was clean and the kitchen was so nice. Great family gathering space. Our grandchildren had a great time exploring, playing outside and splashing in the lake. Enjoyed a couple bonfires, too! Communication with Nick was great, he was super nice and quick to respond. Thank you!

Stayed Sep 4, 2025This home was like stepping back in the 70’s. It could have been a bit cleaner, and does not have the typical rental vibe as it was like staying in someone’s home. That being said the positives outweigh any of that. The owner was outstanding to work with. The location is hard to beat. The views were great. The kitchen fit our big family, the beds were comfortable. We had really horrible weather but were able to find things to do in the area.

Stayed Aug 2, 2025We arrived at 4:00 & the owner was there to show us how to use the pontoon boat( he will rent it out to you at an additional charge). The house is spacious & accommodated our multigenerational family of 12- 6 adults & 6 kids . The finished basement has a large tv, pool table, 1/2 bathroom & trundle bed. This is where 5 of our 6 grandchildren spent a lot of time when they weren’t swimming. Our 2 grandsons slept in the basement. The 3 full bathrooms on the main & 2 floors were great… one for each family. The kitchen is huge. While it was lacking in modern cookware, utensils, the stove, microwave & refrigerator were newer & worked well. The yard has tables & seating suitable for a large group. A fire pit was used nightly with the sounds of the lake gently lapping the shore. The ‘beach’ was not a place to have a chair or build sand castles. There are 3 steps down to a stony area before going into the clear lake… You have to wade into the water about 15’ before it’s sandy. The dock is a bit shaky & needs some TLC… but it’s functional. Overall the house is very 70’s rustic in decor but has large spaces, big tv’s and a beautiful view from the many windows facing the lake.

Stayed Jan 30, 2025Location and layout was perfect our group. The lake was a little slushy during our visit but only added to our adventure. The attached garage gave us a great place to thaw out equipment and clothing. Nick was very responsive and helpful.

Stayed Oct 25, 2024Enjoyed our stay very much. Well equipped and comfortable. You need to date your listing so that it’s accurate. There is no bedroom with four beds on the upper level. That bedroom has three beds. There are not two twin beds on the lower level as stated.

Stayed Oct 4, 2024We were at Burt Lake for a family wedding in Indian River. Location was convenient and house had everything we needed. We were able to entertain other family between the wedding and reception. Location was beautiful, wish we actually had time to enjoy the lake while we were there. Maybe another time.

Stayed Aug 23, 2024The house was great. very accommodating for our party of eight (six adults and two kids two years old and younger). The kitchen was huge. The host was very quick to respond and even offered some great recommendations in and around the area. Couple of quirks or drawbacks; 1) The cleanliness was a little lacking. One of the bedrooms bedsheets definitely weren't changed prior to our arrival. When we went to turn down the sheets before bed, there was loose change and possibly ash or sand? The house appears to be lived (not listed in the overall description). As such, there are numerous closets and drawers full of random stuff / knickknacks, family photos and a fantastic beer stein collection in the basement. One of the two coffee makers had leftover coffee ground in it with some developing mold. 2) The fire pit is awfully close to brush/plants near the shoreline and the group before us left a huge pile of ash, so even if we felt brave enough to have a fire, we'd have to clean out the fire pit first. 3) Bring water shoes. There really isn't much beach, thus, it is pretty rocky. The sand is also quite mucky compared to the west side of the lake. 4) If you're renting in the summer and staying in one of the two rooms upstairs, bring a fan. I'm not sure the A/C even went on up there, but there's definitely a noticeable 20-degree difference from the main floor to the upstairs. Overall, would definitely stay here again!
