House Details:
There are three upstairs rooms, two of them face the bluff, but all have access to a front patio where you can sit and enjoy the mountain view. The two front upstairs rooms also have Jacuzzi's! There are two rooms on the bottom floor, one of which is at the front of the house (with a view). The downstairs rooms share a very spacious bathroom with a Jacuzzi of its own.
The upstairs has a shared kitchenette with a fridge and coffee machine. The downstairs has a large parlor, an office, a kitchen, and a dining room.
Outside we have a large deck that has an amazing view of the valley, and upstairs we have a balcony with an equally brilliant outlook of the river valley.
We have a Ring security camera which only covers the exterior of the house on the side porch.
Our diverse group of 6 had a great time at Alpine House. The older home is well stocked with all the essentials, plus some! We especially liked the en suite bathrooms. The views were beautiful especially in the evening. The owners were great as were the neighbor. We are already planning a return visit. Our only recommendation would be to “air out” the front bedroom. It seemed a bit musty.
House was absolutely perfect for six teens and four adults, staying two nights as a respite on a long road trip. The owners have put a lot of love into the property and it shows, everyone in our group wished we had more time to enjoy the property. The daybed in one picture has been replaced by a queen bed but this was not an issue, all beds were quite comfortable. Kitchen was well set up for group cooking, lots of games/puzzles and virtually every streaming option. Sunsets from the front porch and front balcony were amazing. Took advantage of the screened in back porch as well. Tracy reached out the day we arrived and replied promptly the entire stay. Downstairs bathroom wasn’t quite as accessible for non ambulatory wheelchair user as expected, but this would not be an issue for most renters. Even with that said, we would absolutely stay there again and simply plan for the needed adjustments. Thank you Kinard family for your hospitality!
We had a blast staying here. The history of the house is amazing with all the documentation they have provided. And secondly and the most amazing is the views sitting on the front porch watching the sunset over the valley is spectacular. The beds are soft and the water pressure is good. With the covered parking our group’s motorcycle we’re protected from a storm that came threw. All in all would highly recommend this so rental. And the drive to the attractions was slightly longer but a very nice drive.
Highly recommended!!
Plenty of space. Beautiful view!
Everything was perfect. Great communication with the owner and the views are to die for. Definitely recommend this house!
This was the most coziest place I’ve ever been in. I felt right at home as soon as I walked in!
Our family had a great time at the Alpine House. We were in town for our son's graduation from the Southeast Lineman Training Program in nearby Trenton, GA and selected this house for it's size and number of bed/bath rooms. It fit us perfectly, as we had 6 adults staying (used 4 of 5 bedrooms). House was incredibly clean and charming. So many great things to look at! The view from the balcony and the set up across the street were breathtaking--we were blessed with beautiful weather, as well. The back porch always had a nice breeze, as did the front porch, so it was lovely to sit and relax anywhere! The kitchen had everything you could think of that we needed, and then some. Tracy was great with communicating with us--truly, she went above and beyond. She gave us some excellent recommendations for places to eat and things to do. Wish we had time to do them all! She responded promptly to anything we asked her and was sweet as can be. The next door neighbor is so kind--she stopped to check on us and even came to help us connect to the wifi. The only thing that I wish was different was the proximity to Chattanooga. It is about a 45 min drive, which was ok at first, but as the time moved on during our stay, I was glad we had closer recommendations from Tracy for things to do. This house is beyond awesome, though--if you want a quiet get away where you can really escape, with room for a crowd--this is the perfect place. If you want to be spending a lot of time in Chattanooga, though, be prepared to drive a lot. Beware that you shift into the central time zone at Alpine House, so if you want to go east, be sure to plan accordingly. The time zone and the distance to Chattanooga are not reasons to avoid this beautiful house--you should just be aware of these two things and plan for them. Thank you so much to Dylan and Tracy for sharing this house with us--we are grateful for the memories made and your hospitality--truly was a trip to remember!
This was our second time at Alpine house for our brothers getaway and it fulfilled our wants and needs well. We will most likely return again.
We loved the large kitchen and dining areas. Beds were comfy. View was beautiful!
