This was a wonderful place to stay. Bob is really nice to work with. So quiet and huge.

Beautiful house, lots of space. Even though the owners ended up being there that week, we didn't notice them. The place was well stocked and comfortable. It's furnished with old furniture that really fits the property. We would definitely stay there again.

We are thankful that the family has made this house available - we were a family group from 4-68 years old and were very comfortable because of all the space. We also liked that the house was not in the busy part of Alaska- nice for the kids to play outside without having to worry about a busy road.

In the past, VRBO has sent me information a few days before the trip as to how to access the property, but this time, I had to contact the owner, and he immediately sent it to me. As described, the property is in a great location, has plenty of space, and is well-stocked with spices and other little necessities. The owner responded to my questions quickly. We would definitely stay here again.

Spacious, comfortable home nestled in the woods and still near to Anchorage. We enjoyed our stay and the closeness to “city life” while feeling in the woods at the home. We recommend this home for families.

This property was PERFECT for my group of 8 people!! The home has a large kitchen, dining room, 5 bedrooms and three sitting rooms. Everybody could have their own space to sit and talk. There were plenty of bathrooms, and plenty of privacy. I found the home to be tastefully decorated in what we would expect to see in Alaska. If you are looking for a renovated home to keep up with the 2010’s to present, you won’t find that here, But what you will find is everything you could need or want for a long stay in Anchorage!!! We loved it!!! No complaints!!

The house was great, plenty of room for us. The decor in the house was very old world Alaska, there were some beautiful antique tables throughout the house.

This property was ideal for our family as we enjoyed visiting Anchorage and the surrounding areas. We appreciated the location as well as the cleanliness, well stocked kitchen, and all the amenities. Our host, Bob, was very pleasant and made sure to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Check in, communication, and ample space for all our family was great. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who is looking to find a great place for a “ home away from home” while visiting this area.

Our family stayed here at the start of our Alaskan adventure. It’s a big older home with lots of room to spread out. The only downfall for us was the fact that we booked several adventures taking us north and that added time to our outgoing and return drives. But that’s on us for selecting a south Anchorage location. Hosts were responsive to questions and the home was clean.

We took a group of high school seniors to Anchorage for their Senior Trip. This house was the perfect base camp. Most of the excursions we were doing were outside of anchorage within two hours' drive in different directions. The house was the perfect location and size for our group. Everyone had their own room and there was space to spare. The house is much bigger than the pictures imply and more beautiful than I was expecting. It was clean, filled with everything we needed and as private and secluded as we were hoping. Communication with the owner was instant. Any question we had was answered within minutes. I would highly recommend this for families, large groups and anyone else looking for a great place to stay while in Anchorage!! Thanks for adding greatness and class to our Alaskan adventure and helping to make memories these young people will never forget.

Two parts of our family met up in Anchorage for Grandpas funeral. Plenty of room for the eight of us.

We loved this house. The house is huge. It is well insulated. Our group ranged from 8 y/o to 75 y/o. We could not hear each other in the morning. The house was comfortable and secluded, but close enough to town to be conveniently located. We would absolutely stay here again.

Expansive with many attractive decor elements and niceties. Could use a few updates but overall very well appointed; our siblings and spouses really enjoyed staying here!

Seven family members thoroughly enjoyed staying at the hillside house - room for all of us to have some space as well as great areas for the family to gather. Multiple sitting/living room areas and a big kitchen with dining area. The host was responsive and helpful - the area is peaceful and quiet. Would certainly recommend, especially for larger groups!

We could not have found a better vacation home after a cramped 7 day cruise! Unbelievable amount of space, Large spacious comfortable bedrooms. All the utensils, kitchen supplies that we needed. The owner very pleasant and courteous. Highly, highly recommended!

Perfect location and accommodations for all of our family. Everyone had their own room and then there was lots of room for the family to gather together. Great place to stay before going on our land and cruise tour. Easy check-in and check out process and owners are very helpful. Great Alaskan experience!

This spacious and secluded house on a private road in Anchorage, AK, was an absolute gem. After a long journey, finding a beer in the refrigerator was a delightful touch. The house provided ample space for my family of four, with every comfort thoughtfully provided. A resident moose added a unique charm to the property. The huge kitchen, cozy dining area, and back deck were perfect for family time and outdoor grilling. The fully stocked amenities, incredibly comfortable beds, and blackout curtains ensured a restful stay. The overall vibe of the house was fantastic. We highly recommend this home & will be staying here again on our next trip to AK!!
