Lakewalk House | Minutes from Downtown Duluth

Very nice, clean, and well-maintained. Our family of 6 appreciated having separate bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, especially the super clean and comfy beds and bedding! Everyone brought along their own streaming devices since there are no TV's in the bedrooms, which was fine with us; wifi worked great. All of the basic necessities were provided. Being an older house, there are no sound barriers, so you can hear creaky floors and all sounds throughout. One safety hazard is that the wood stairs going up to the 2nd-floor bedrooms are only painted without any grip whatsoever, so walking up and down them is very slippery in socks. I did slip down a few stairs twice and got a bump and bruise on my arm when I grabbed the railing to catch myself, so wear something on your feet with grips and be careful! Also, the front door is tricky to get closed and locked, but it does work. The place is close to good restaurants, etc. and the neighborhood is peaceful and quiet at night. Board games are provided in the dining area as well as streaming TV in the living room, which is nice for having family time. The kitchen is nicely updated with modern appliances. Overall a very nice and affordable place and we would definitely stay again!

We had a wonderful stay! The location is perfect, tucked just outside the busier part of Duluth, so it’s peaceful and quiet, but still only a short drive to Costco, Walmart, and anything else you might need. It was the ideal base for exploring the North Shore, with easy access to all the scenic drives, hiking spots, and state parks. The space was clean, comfortable, and exactly what we were hoping for. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a convenient and relaxing place to stay while exploring the area!

Lakewalk House was quite comfortable for our five-night stay with my daughter and son-in-law and my son. The beds were comfortable and the house was in good shape. We walked down to a delightful coffee shop and visited a couple of beautiful gardens in the neighborhood. We very much enjoyed our first visit to Duluth.

Lovely 3 bedroom home on north side of Duluth. 10 to 15 minutes away from Downtown. Accross from lakeshore bike path. Wonderful place to stay!

Nice place 10 minutes from downtown Duluth

Nice old house. A little creaky but that's part of the charm! Only issues were small. No broom and tub drained slowly. I'll take that. It is in a great location for exploring, walking or biking, shopping, and seeing the Duluth and north shore sights. Loved it!

This was a wonderful stay. Very beautiful property. Everything was in great condition and comfortable.

Comfortable, nice neighborhood with easy access to downtown.

Property was very clean. Lots of TV stations to watch when relaxing at night after a busy day. Kitchen had everything we needed. Plenty of blankets and linens. Great for the 2 dogs that came with us.

House was very clean and nice location in east Duluth so a nice safe neighborhood and close to new brighton beach. Kitchen had all amenities we needed and was great for getting together with friends. Agree with reviews that only drawbacks was the road noise from superior street and stairs that are steep/slippery.

The house was very comfortable and warm. We were experiencing temperature lows of -17 and we were comfortable. The home has hot water heat with radiators and works great.The beds were very comfortable, my mom wanted to know what brand the mattresses are.This was the first place I stayed that did not require us to take out trash, just bag it and leave it. Same for used towels, just put them in a conspicuous place. They did not ask us to strip the beds which is pretty common in other places we have stayed. We would stay here again. The location was great as it was easy to get around the area. Sammy's (pizza, calzones, wings) were really great and is really close so we had it delivered.

The house was clean and well-appointed. It was a perfect space for our family to spend Thanksgiving together.

Duluth and the VRBO home provided for a sweet start to our family's Christmas holiday. The home had everything we needed (location to town, good walking, warm, clean, comfortable) for a long weekend stay. I would recommend a review of the check in process; specifically, clearer directions on the location of the client lockbox. Once Chad got the message that we couldn't enter the home, he was quick to arrive and very kind and emphatic. Thanks for the stay!

Lovely place and well run. So comfortable. One small suggestion: add some small garbage cans in the bedrooms.

We enjoyed the house and its location. Great homebase for the handful of state parks and Duluth restraunts we visited.

We had 6 adults and it was perfect. The kitchen helped, and the 2 showers. Would definitely stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay here, and booked both the Mayfair and Lakewalk houses together for a larger family group. It was so nice to have adjacent properties and both houses were super clean and well-appointed. Clearly care is taken on hosting these properties, with cleaning, local recommendations, easy check-in and check-out, etc. The location is great, with easy access to local parks, and just a couple miles down to the Canal Park, Park Point and Bayfront areas. We would stay here again in a heartbeat, and look forward to doing so!

Loved the charm. Stairs are wicked if you have any issues climbing. Noisy all day. Right on superior but out of town so wasn’t unbearable.

The house was exactly as expected and in a nice, quiet neighborhood. It was easy to find. The smart tv allowed for streaming but was not logged into the Netflix account (and not remembered by the Netflix account). This was not a major problem. After hours assistance was helpful and responsive when the power went out in the neighborhood unexpectedly.
