We had a wonderful time, the place was super clean and very well equipped. Bruce is on-site for every need and a lot Of friendly advice. Amazing place. Great find.

The photos and description don't do this property justice. It's even more beautiful in person and fit a few more people than first thought. We took advantage of the pool and it was wonderful with even more incredible views. Bruce the contact on site was so helpful and accommodating. We had 2 families 4 adults and 6 kids and used 2 blow up mattresses in addition to the sofa and beds and were fine. The retreat house has only downstairs bathrooms. For a short relaxing stay with splashes of pool fun and breath taking views I highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay here on this property. It's secluded and out in the wilderness away from the cities/towns. It is conveniently located right next to Lake Melones (not walking distance). The pool is actually located in their main house which is less than 0.5 miles away. Bruce was responsive to our calls and questions and provided us with a very hospitable feel when we met him. The home itself is two stories with extraordinary views. Includes washer/dryer, dish washing machine, air conditioning, and basic amenities. We could use a large bear-proof trash bin outside once our indoor trash overfills, but overall we are very content.

This place is very special because of the spectacular views, the vineyard, the animals. My husband and I brought our ebikes and toured all around the large property and neighboring area . The Retreat had a well equipped kitchen and washer /dryer. You have access to a stunning pool. The place is brand new and extremely comfortable. and clean . We will come back for sure ! We also visited Murphy which is close and have excellent restaurants!

Me and my two daughters had a wonderful weekend at The Retreat House. Our stay was peaceful and relaxing. Wonderful house with a roof top deck. Beautiful unobstructed view of the starry nights and the wilderness and lake. Bruce the caretaker was a sweet gentleman who made us feel welcome and safe. Buck the dog was very affectionate and we loved our visits with him. The pool was refreshing and the spa/jacuzzi had an awesome view as well. Tasted wine from their vineyard and it was delicious. Only thing to make it better would have been a longer stay at the Retreat House. We're already looking forward to planning our next visit. Thank you so very much! We were able to recharge and enjoy family time in a beautiful setting.
