LakeStar Chalet | Hot Tub, Minutes from Activities

One of the bedrooms had a fitted sheet and comforter with old blood stains on them. The code to the property was wrong when we checked in, and it was difficult to get in contact with the rental office bc the cellphone signal at this property is nonexistent. Also, the house looks like it is sitting back in the woods, but in actuality it is facing the main road. Finally, they have a 3 night minimum, but do not provide you with enough toilet paper/ paper towels/dish soap etc to last 3 nights and there was NO hand soap! Not even a cheap bar of soap!

Place had lots of spiderwebs and could use a deep clean. Only one bathroom door locked. Fire pit and hot tub were awesome. Very cool house and great layout.

Pretty good location, only thing that would have made it ideal is if were directly on the lake. Well equipped kitchen. Master suite was awesome! Only caution would be, if you are traveling with small children, bring two baby gates. Steps are dangerous for little ones without it. Only other suggestion would be to have a second refrigerator.

House and area in general was absolutely beautiful. The cleaning service could have done a better job things were very dusty and the hard surfaces had a wierd sticky flim on them. This is why I only gave the cleanliness a 3 star rating it was not terrible but for the price it definitely could have been better. The activities were endless and we can't wait to go back to the area and explore some more.

The property was spotless. Very cozy and comfortable. We were a party of 6 although we originally had 10 but 10 would have been too right. 8 is just perfect! Also consider bringing a heater for the downstairs rooms. As it is very cold in the winter. Overall I really enjoyed my stay and I highly recommend the place!

***Book through Taylor Made directly!! I did not realize this was a Taylor Made home until after I had already booked. Booking through VRBO adds on an unnecessary $142 VRBO FEE. My past experience with Taylor Made Deep Creek rentals has not been great, but this house was very nice. The only complaints were some dirty dishes in the cabinets and a broken fireplace in the Master bedroom that would not turn off (it got WARM up there). Other than that, the house was comfortable and exactly as pictured. The bathrooms were spotless and there were plenty of towels. Upon arrival there was already a path shoveled for us to get to he front door and the hot tub was ready to go (although we did have to up the temperature to make it enjoyable -- it was a COLD weekend). Just be sure to book through Taylor Made directly, not VRBO, and you should have a lovely experience.

There was plenty of space for 8 of us that stayed for a Bachelorette Party. It was a great location, a short drive to restaurants and bars. We did have an ant problem during our stay, we call management and they sent someone over right away. After the house was sprayed and traps were put out, the ants were not as much as a problem. Other than that, my friends and I enjoyed our stay!
