Lakefront retreat with hot tub, water view, game room, home theater & dock

The house itself was gorgeous. However, when we were deciding on a house to rent for our family reunion, the movie and game room were the deciding factor. We tried to use it the night we got there and the remote was broken. I messaged VRBO about it and wstold me that they would request someone local and get back to me. Come Sunday night and I haven’t heard a response. So I reply back asking for an update. They tell me they have no update. Someone called the number and they were told that a replacement remote was on the way and would be there Monday. As of when we left today, we still had not received the remote. Without thus remote, you can’t use the theatre fully. We were very disappointed. When we went to the game room, there was more disappointment. Half the machines were not working, there were no pucks for the air hockey table and there were no balls for the foosball table. When we reported it, the company in charge were amazing and came right out to fix everything. There were some safety issues as well with long cords everywhere (inside and outside). We had babies with us so this was very concerning and frustrating with so many dangerous cords. Finally, our last disappointment was with the hot tub. Many of our party enjoyed it for a few days but then started to get rashes. Upon some investigation, we discovered that the water had turned green. We called again to let them know and the company in charge came right away to fix it.

Very spacious, right on North Twin Lake which is very clear. 15 minutes to Eagle River and a short walk to an awesome ice cream store! Game room and theater room were a big hit with everyone. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend.

The house was amazing. Everything we would ever need was supplied. Everything in the home was a high quality. We were there Sunday thru Saturday. On Thursday, the wind shifted to blow into shore. That afternoon, 10 of us got a severe case of Swimmers Itch. If you have never had this, it is terrible. Make sure you bring anti itch cream. On Friday we took our boat to another part of the lake to swim.

We were blown away by how amazing the place was. Incredibly clean. Stocked with towels and kitchen gear. Stocked with cleaning supplies and toiletries. Not a single thing was dingy, old, etc that you often see at rental properties nowadays. 100/100. Book it - you won’t regret it!

It was a good stay, some minor issues but overall met all our needs!

We were ten adults and seven children under the age of 12, including an infant. The place is huge, with a lot of space for getting together or spreading out. It has a ton of seating options for eating and board games. The game room was a hit with everyone and is separated enough that the kids could get loud without disturbing anyone on the other side of the house, including the baby. The outdoor options: private playground, large hot tub, firepit, and pier were excellent. The house also sits on a hiking trail that we took advantage of in the peak fall colors. There is not much going on in the town of Phelps, but Eagle River is nearby with great restaurant options. We struggled a bit with the patio doors but figured it out (pull UP on handles like the signs say). We celebrated an early Thanksgiving, and the kitchen including double oven, was perfect for preparing a big family meal. This is also important, as others have mentioned: the listing says 5 bedrooms, but the house has only 4 private bedrooms that have doors. The fifth bedroom is a common living-room type space with a bunkbed and two couches in it, and there's a pullout bed in the theater. I did not read the reviews well enough and this would have been a dealbreaker for us if we had understood correctly, as we wanted all adults to be able to have a private bedroom. We had to get a second rental because of this, which was okay. Still had a great time and look forward to coming back. Great memories. Thank you!

Great location. Access to local established with great food and beverage. Use of lake is key. Property is well maintained. We had adult group, but all have older children. Great for groups with families sharing bedroom space with young children.

We had 25 people ranging from 8 months to 70. The home was amazing. Well furnished, plenty of space, and very clean. We enjoyed the game room, hot tub and play set. Lake was clean and we enjoyed the kayaks. Would love to stay again!

Everything was amazing!!!!

We had a wonderful stay in Phelps with our large group. Everyone loved the lake access, yard, hot tub, game room, and theatre. The Vacasa local staff were super responsive and helpful when we had a minor issue with a burnt-out light. We would love to come again!

Our family enjoyed our stay at this home. We had 4 families, 16 people, ranging in age from toddlers to grandparents. Clean home, well stocked kitchen, plenty of space for people to have privacy but gather as a group. Having bedroom/bath/patio on same level was bonus for grandparents. We did experience swimmers itch after a short time in the lake which was a bummer for all as no one wanted to get back in the water. The game room, movie theatre, and kayaks provided alternative options and the adults enjoyed sun bathing on the expansive patio. The temperature upstairs wasn't well regulated but leaving bedroom doors open during the day seemed to help. The hottub was a bonus for sure since the lake wasn't a good option. Would definitely stay here again!

With the exception of a few problems we encountered, (indoor temperature was too cold on the cool rainy days we stayed, the kitchen bench fell apart as a child was getting onto it, there was no exercise equipment which the listing stated there was), regardless, it was still a beautiful place and we would recommend it to others.

Everything about the property was as expected! In spite of a rainy several days, everyone found things to do! The kitchen was so well- stocked with every amenity that we could have wanted, making cooking for 20 a breeze. We would most definitely stay again .
