Everything was fine ?
Perfect place for a mini retreat! Thoroughly enjoyed the water view from house. And that it is in a quiet neighborhood. My dog enjoyed our walks. Enough privacy without being away from it all!
This beautiful home is aptly named “Our Happy Place”. There is plenty of comfortable sleeping accommodations, and the kitchen is well appointed. The view of Lake Anna is wonderful and the night sky has an amazing display of stars.
Very convenient location on the warm side of the Lake and water truly is warmer than the Public side
We really enjoyed this house for our 4th of July vacation. The setup of the house worked out great because one of the couples have a baby so the basement area was perfect for them to setup and be a little removed from the rest of the group. The lake is beautiful to watch on the back deck. Since the house is located right near the outflow of the nuclear plant the water is super warm, like a bath. We would get in for a bit and then out and that was cooling. The screened in porch was great too although we didn't notice any bugs on the property!! I don't believe the listing mentions a grill but there is one here. House was super clean and nicely decorated. Beds were pretty comfortable as well. We would definitely stay here again.
Cute and quaint little lakehouse with a wonderful lawn, lots of beds, and all the amenities I could ask for. The listing does not mention the grill, which is a huge plus.
Very clean, great house right on the water, 10/10 would recommend
Beware! If you're planning to work online, take online classes, training or just to use the AV entertainment - stay away from this place ! 1) There are two big TVs, but they only have the streaming apps. Which work only... if there's an Internet connection... 2) For our stay it was hit and miss. Wrong initial info (network name/password) for the device WHICH WAS NOT THERE, problems w/substitute equipment (cheap access point), the coverage bandwidth bought by mgmt in chunks. So, every 2 days when there was no coverage anymore, they were playing stupid game w/us pretending that this was a rural area w/weak signal, etc., while in reality they had to pay for another extra chunk to whoever the provider was... But, each time we had to call Vacasa first and then- sometimes- somebody from Local Mgmt would contact us and try to solve the issue. 3) In the end we were wasting our time on stupid things, so we decided to try enjoying the nature more (location is super!) instead of getting aggravated all the time...
Nice place to escape reality
The house was adorable and so well decorated. We had mostly everything we needed! Only 2 things we weren’t able to find which was the fire pit and the beach towels, but we still had a great time!!
We rented last minute for a quick getaway and were delightfully surprised by this cute little house! The waters were too dangerous for swimming because of an algae bloom, but we made the best of it by using the hose and sprinkler to help alleviate the very hot temps (high 90’s the whole time). The house’s AC worked exceptionally well, and we had some very needed quiet family time. Sitting on the deck after sunset, which was also gorgeous, was nice for star-gazing. It was a very quiet part of the lake. The management company was very good about communicating and answering questions- very responsive. All in all, would definitely stay again. Thank you to the owners for making this house available.
Great view of the lake and the house was very nice and clean.
We arrived to find the door code provided did not unlock the door. 2 phone calls and an uncomfortable extended wait later, the lock was reset and a new code provided. The property came available to me 5 hours and 45 minutes after it was promised. Vacasa has offered a 10% credit towards a future rental. I have instead asked for a 10% refund. Vacasa no longer returns my emails and online messages. The property was great. The management was unacceptable. I’ll avoid Vacasa in the future.
The house had some recent updates and was more than big enough. The TVs were small but we were outside all the time anyway. There wasn’t really cell service so you needed the WiFi. The water was nice with an old dock, deck and fire pit at the water. Fishing was good off the dock and nearby. The water was nice and warm for swimming. It was close to a grocery store, a country store and restaurants nearby. We had a great time.
