Lakefront, Private Pool, Walk to beach, shops and restaurants, 30A Bike Path

The home and view were absolutely beautiful! Our main problem was that the entire week we had zero Internet. We had big hopes of enjoying watching football at night on the beautiful porch but that never happened. It was even more frustrating to see houses around us with tv on but not ours. Certain things were missing at this price point that I’ll look more closely into reviews for the future- beach toys and chairs are not provided (we bought some of each and left there hopefully for someone else to use) there was no broom provided for basic cleanup after cooking. For the amount we paid for the week, we don’t feel like we received the full value. I mainly share this review so that if someone is planning to rent that may need to work while on vacation or if you’re passionate about TV, I’d reach out to make sure service is in tact. The views certainly can’t be beat though and we still had a great trip.

It would be absolutely perfect if it had salt and pepper, a few spices and some oil. There are zero beach items. We fly to 30A so we can not pack beach items. A couple beach chairs, an umbrella and a little cooler is all that is needed to make it perfect. The owners, we believe, were at the house attached to it and it felt weird. Then we felt as if we were invading on their space because it is their home. It would be nice to have the ability to connect to home bluetooth speakers. So bring a speaker if you want music by the pool or playing cards in the outdoor spaces. There is a space on the second floor with nice comfy furniture and gorgeous dinning room table that is a beautiful space to hang out. It was raining when we were there so we played cards, dominos and ate in the space it was gorgeous. Again it would have been perfect to have a music hooked up to speaker. Being tucked away with the trees felt secluded and cozy and the drive with golf cart to beach and restaurants are really close. My boys fished off the dock and did catch fish. We enjoyed our time but we are undecided if we will come back to this space.

The layout was spacious and thoughtful, offering expansive water views from every floor, deck, and breezeway. My favorite place to relax was the second-level breezeway—perfect for quiet mornings—and the dock, which offered a peaceful retreat. The location was also ideal: private, serene, and close to everything we needed.However, there were a few things that detracted from the overall experience. The presence of security cameras pointed at the pool and outdoor shower felt invasive. With children in our group, this lack of privacy was uncomfortable and discouraged us from using those areas as much as we’d have liked.We also had an odd situation with the neighbor, who parked his truck in the driveway without asking and allowed his kids to play on and around the property. On multiple occasions, they stood and watched us during family time, which felt intrusive and inappropriate for a vacation setting.Other logistical issues included trash that was put out as instructed but never picked up, and no dish detergent provided to run the dishwasher at checkout, as requested. The elevator, which was closed off from guest use, would have made a big difference in managing luggage and groceries across three flights of stairs. Additionally, several doors and one whole side of the house were locked off, which limited access.We were also surprised there were no beach essentials available—no umbrellas, wagons, or golf cart—items we’ve found included in similarly priced properties.That said, the home itself was beautiful, and the views were absolutely unforgettable. With a few improvements to privacy, access, and guest conveniences, this property could truly be exceptional.

Everything was clean and the house is very quiet, with great lake views and a short golf cart or bike ride to the beach. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook in. There are great outdoor spaces at the house. I would advise using a beach access other than the one directly across from Dune Allen realty because the public space is limited, but the access just to the west has much more space.

Property was amazing

Pelican Watch is an amazing home, better than the photos. We would rent again. The kitchen was fully stocked for cooking and appliances were like new. There were lots of great indoor and outdoor living spaces with really nice furniture. It was super clean. It is in a quiet neighborhood but is close to restaurants and shopping. It was a very short bike ride or walk to the beach. We rented a golf cart to carry our beach gear but you could do this in your car. The nearby beach access always had available parking.
