Stayed Jan 10, 2026This was our second stay here (the first in 2023), and we’d return again. Our main focus was again on winter birding in the area, and while many of our offsite locations were a bit less birdy for us, putting some seed out at this property will reward you with lots of nice species, including the always popular Gambel’s Quail. All in all, a well located property for our purposes, and the host is very responsive to any concerns that might arise during your stay.

Stayed Apr 27, 2025The view from the balcony is breathtaking. The house has many movies and games to entertain and the lake is about 100-150 yard walk from the property. The owner was very responsive to my questions. There doesn’t seem to be much to do in the town, but Truth or Consequences isn’t a far drive away. The property is difficult to find with GPS.

Stayed Dec 5, 2024Stayed here for work. The view from the deck is awesome. The houe is set up weirdly. It was clean and comfortable. The view was awesome and a shotrt walk to the lake. The parking was less then desired due to soft sand by the front door.

Stayed Nov 27, 2024We needed to get away for a few days and found this little gem. The house was very organized, exceptionally clean & excellent view of the lake. Make certain to bring binoculars! We loved the mid century furnishings and the art on the wall was eclectic!

Stayed Jul 22, 2024Michele's place has a lot of character and is very cozy. This was our first time visiting Elephant Butte Lake. We were surprised with how quiet it is there. Our 3 year old had a blast collecting rocks & shells by the lake. Michele was a great host. She was very kind, and promptly answered all of our questions.
