Picnic and BBQ at the pavilion and relax by bonfires in the evenings. Enjoy all the sounds of nature and the soothing music of the stream from the rear deck or covered porches. Pour a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and read a book on the screened porch.

Dales Creek was a wonderfully serene escape. Everything in top condition in the house and grounds. Nice location and beautiful lake views and access.
We've been heading up to Lake James for a week each of the last five years or so. By far, this was the best place we've stayed. Secluded, with great access to the lake - a great little beach area with sand rather than mud. House is clean and solidly constructed (not the usual cut corners you often see in vacation rentals). The pleasant sound of Dales Creek keeps the vibe peaceful and quiet. Convenient to Lake James Marina, Fonta Flora Brewing, and multiple hiking spots and parks. Great spot. Lake James Rd. is one of the busier roads (the Nebo/Marion definition of busy) so there's a touch more traffic noise than you'd expect. But that's literally the only drawback and it's easily ignored when it happens.
This lake home property is the perfect balance of comforts of home surrounded by wilderness. The lake and creek offer hours of entertainment for the family. The property itself is large which allowed everyone to spread out and find quiet time when needed. My only recommendation would be a little softer beds. The one on the third floor is very hard.
Dale's Creek was private, peaceful, relaxing and stocked with all the basics one would need. The house and property was very clean and well maintained. Property management was easy to contact, understanding and responsive when we needed them. We all really enjoyed watching the large flocks of ducks and waterfowl on the cove. It was cold when we stayed, so we couldn't get in the water, but it looks amazing as a warm weather lake/stream swimming destination. We would definitely visit again!
Beautiful property - surrounded by water and nature House itself was immaculate with great amenities use of canoes and kayaks was a definite plus quiet and serene
My son and I spent a long weekend here. The whole process from beginning to end was seamless. The cabin was great for our needs, and it would have been great for a larger group. We would definitely consider this property again should we ever go back to the area. Top notch!
Great location for kayaking. Beautiful views! Will stay again!
My husband, 2 adult children and 6 yr old granddaughter had a wonderful week at this lovely, spotlessly clean lakeside house. The use of several kayaks and a canoe was ours the whole time. The clean, clear lake was also a wonderful place for swimming, wading and boating. (Boat rental was minutes away.) Hiking trails were also just minutes away. We were lucky in that the owners Mike and Lindy were close by when we were there and provided some insights to the area. And then, the Biltmore and Asheville were under an hour away - with shopping and dining. Our favorite thing about the week was relaxing and swimming by the lake.
This property is beautiful and well appointed. Great for a family visit. Plenty of room to spread out.
Our family had a wonderful vacation on this lakefront property. We enjoyed kayaking in the lake and exploring the creek. We played with the ducks and saw turkeys. This property is located on a very beautiful and natural setting.
