Stayed Jul 19, 2025Our extended family group had a wonderful stay. We have stayed in various locations at Lake Chatuge over 10 years, and this house is our favorite. The house itself is gorgeous and well appointed, the dock is top notch, and the cove is nearly perfect. We would definitely return.

Stayed Jul 9, 2025Absolutely stunning home inside and out, with breathtaking views of the lake! It sleeps 12 very comfortably. There are so many nice spaces for group gatherings (two large family rooms, large screened porch upstairs, furnished deck downstairs with hot tub, gameroom, two-story dock). Before our arrival, the management company was great about answering all my questions. During our stay, the homeowner, Luke, responded quickly to all my texts and questions and was proactive in helping us resolve issues (nothing major). Our family gathering of 12 had a FABULOUS stay and we'd definitely go back!!!The only reason this is not a five-star review is because there were some essential kitchen items missing, such as no blender, no large cooking pots or large skillets or large mixing bowls that are necessary when cooking for 12 people. Luckily we brought those large items ourselves, but you shouldn't need to do that with a house this nice. The other thing that would be helpful is a Welcome Book for guests with miscellaneous information about the house, how to operate the hot tub, how to handle the trash and when the pickup is, nearby stores and restaurants, local marinas, hiking trails, popular nearby attractions (like a visit to the top of Bell Mountain during sunset, which I'd HIGHLY recommend!), etc. I understand that this owner is new to renting property and still learning what's expected. To Luke's credit, on our last day he asked me for suggestions so he could make improvements, which I hugely respect. If I could give this 4.5 stars I definitely would, because the positives FAR outweigh the few negatives I mentioned. We wouldn't hesitate to go back again. Everyone in our group LOVED this house as well as boating/tubing/wakeboarding/swimming in the lake. The lake has clear water (not murky brown). And being located on a cove means you get less boat traffic and less wake so you can swim and float on a raft comfortably. The owner doesn't provide any inflatable rafts (this would be a nice addition). Luckily we brought our own rafts and I'd definitely recommend that because it's one of the most relaxing things we enjoyed doing when we weren't out on the boat. Pro tip: Tie a long rope to your raft and the dock so you can float and relax without worrying that you'll go too far. Then use the rope to pull yourself back in with minimal effort.

Stayed Oct 18, 2024This is a beautiful piece of property in the glorious north Georgia mountains, that sits right on the lake. It is the perfect place for a large family gathering. The house comfortably fit 10 people with no one having to share sleeping spaces or resort to sleeping bags or blow up mattresses. The home has great views of the lake and the full moon on the water was stunning. The home has amazing outdoor spaces including multiple porches and patios that face the lake, as well a two story floating dock. Finding it was a little tricky as it shares a driveway with other properties, but once you get over that hurdle it’s an amazing home right out of Southern Living. There are some things that need to be disclosed upfront. First, the cleaning policy, I have no issue with making sure the space I used was clean, but generally with VRBO you have to put the dishes in the dishwasher and start the load and you’re done. Here, you have to start the load, finish it, dry the dishes, and put them back where you found them. Putting away dishes (in a kitchen you don’t know) while you are trying to hit a ten am checkout is a challenge. This cleaning policy was not disclosed on initiating the rental. Secondly, we brought two professionally trained chefs with us. The house reportedly had basic spices, this was a bit of a stretch, multiple trips had to be made to the Ingles to procure basic spices. Neither of them were happy with the number of inaccessible spaces due to locked cabinets/pantries.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had an amazing stay at the lake house with our grown children and their spouses. We loved swimming off the dock (deep water), the convenience of having chairs already there, and a nice ladder for those who didn't want to jump! We rented a pontoon boat one day and had lunch at Marina Station. We enjoyed playing games and hanging out together when not boating or swimming. Whether inside or outside, the lake views were beautiful and relaxing. Just what we needed! The house was well-stocked, allowing us to cook most of our meals at home, enjoying the indoor and outdoor dining spaces and couches. And there is even a Papa's Pizza that delivered, and the pizza was great! I love Lake Chatuge with all the mountains surrounding it. We will definitely be back!

Stayed Aug 2, 2024Lovely home. Great location. I’m sure the kitchen is well equipped for the owners, but EVERYTHING is locked away from visitors. Good luck cooking. You will not find anything including: no can opener, no mixing bowl or serving bowl of any size, no whisk, no peeler, not one sheet pan, no cheese grater, etc etc etc There was also no blow dryer, 4 wine glasses and 12 plates in a house that sleeps 17? Also, not even any mini bars of soap, no toilet paper in several bathrooms, no coffee filters, etc The house was not cleaned well. Spider webs in the house and especially on porches. Lots of bugs, not crawly bugs-drain flies. Dish washer did not work. Refrigerator made very very little ice. There were enough towels for the 7 of us, but I think there were 17 or 18. 2 dish cloths, 2 dish towels. Many trips to dollar general ! So many locked spaces, drawers and cabinets; all other kitchen drawers and cabinets had nothing in them. Pots and pans were fine (drawer lock was broken?) there was just NOTHING a else to cook with
