Lakefront, Dog-Friendly Home with Lake View, Dock, Central AC, & Wood Fireplace

Very Quiet place with a beautiful lake. House had everything we needed. The air we had to shut off as it was freezing downstairs, and upstairs was comfortable. (froze the people sleeping downstairs after the first night) We did have to call the rental place as the code to enter the house on the door no longer worked and they had to provide us with a different code to get the spare key. But other than those its a great place overall!

The space was great for gathering with friends. There was some broken or wobbly furniture. The back doors do not lock at all. No mattress pad on the beds so the bedsheet was directly on top of plastic. The entry keypad was loose and somewhat difficult to use because of the long code. Fix these minor issues and this would be a 5 star location in the beautiful northern woods.

We love Manitowish Waters

The location and lake was nice. The house was spacious and the main bedroom was roomy and had a nice view. This home needs updating, maintenence and the internet/WIFI needs figuring out. The house was nice and can accommodate a lot of people. Overall it was a nice stay just had some issues and annoyances that could be easily addressed.

In general we enjoyed our time. The house was in good shape, even though the couch was being held up by a log. One of the disappointments was the gas grill was broken (igniter and burner). The inside was filthy with food dripping all over the propane tank. We had brought meat from home to grill out.

Beautiful home located on Rest Lake in Manitowish Waters, WI. Perfect location on the Manitowish chain of lakes. The home is large enough and furnished well to accommodate a large family vacation. Homes is adjacent to the 28 mile Manitowish Water bike trail that can take you to Boulder Junction in one direction and to Mercer in the other direction. Home is pet friendly and grounds are well kept and open to let your pet run. Fishing activity on the lake was excellent, having caught both Large and Smallmouth bass , Nothern Pike and Musky.

The view of Rest Lake from the dining room, kitchen and all three bedrooms made this a very restorative vacation house during late June.

As far as cleanliness, the property was basically clean. Some stains on carpet and we had to empty the dishwasher from the previous guest. I rated the check-in a 3 because they gave us a code for the keyless entry. Unfortunately, there is something mechanically wrong with the front door lock system and we couldnt get in. Walked around to back and the door was unlocked so that is how we got onto our rental. From there, we had to call the 800 number to tell them the keyless entry lock didn't work and they told us where we could find the actual physical key for the property. They were very helpful. Later, we discovered NONE of the back doors to the property had locks that worked. I didn't likethat I booked this place with VBRO and ended up with Vacassa ... kind of confusing as I already had an account with VBRO and never heard of Vacasa. As far as accuracy of the listing, there is NOT a TV or DVD player in the whole place. There is, however, a huge TV antenna on the outside of the property. Both TV and DVD player are listed on the amenities so if that is important to you, you should be aware of this. Also, I think the pictures online are dated. The furnishigs are getting worn and there are several knobs missing from cupboards and drawers. The place could use a little TLC but all-in-all, a very nice property. We came to bike so not having a TV wasn't a deal breaker. We loved the proximity to the bike trails and we had a great time! I would book again.

Fantastic location!! So much to do and so close to the bike trails. The kids, parents, grandparents and dogs all enjoyed the home. Mountain biking, bike path riding, hiking, fishing......we should have stayed longer. Great space to entertain a large group.
