Lakefront Cottage with Sunset Views

Very unhappy about the dock not being fixed—to get to the end you had to go into the water as it was broken halfway through. Judging by the rust on the bolts sitting on the end it’s been that way a long time. The email I received saying it was to be fixed the day of our departure seems unlikely as it was raining and supposed to all day. The one tiny ac unit in the kitchen did nothing to cool the house and the windows overlooking the lake had no blinds or curtains. Nice view yes, but it made it hotter inside because you cannot block the sun. It was very clean, but overpriced.

After a long day of travel I went to the rental property. It was on a private road which was not plowed and it was difficult to find the house in the dark. The driveway nor the entrance of the house was cleared so I was standing in snow in tennis shoes trying to get the lock box open to obtain the keys. Upon entering the property it appeared the property had not been used recently. There were cob webs and there were things on the floor that were left from previous renters. Along with cheese stick wrapper on the back of the couch. There was mold behind the toilet and in the shower. The shower was not pictured and was small. Beds were uncomfortable. The view is great just not sure this should be available in middle of a Michigan winter. There was an ice storm and the property lost power and I needed to stay at another location for running water and heat. In the book left by host it stated having access to cable tv and there were supposed to be directions on the coffee table and not directions were found.

The location was perfect. Right on the lake, and all the modern convinces are less than 15 minutes away.

Great communication with Bailey. Cottage is comfortable, clean and has all amenities. Can't get much closer to the water! Very relaxing stay.

The host was very nice and accommodating, especially when i had to text him because the power went out at 1230am due to high winds.

Bailey was amazing and very responsive to any questions we had. The view was amazing and the home felt cozy and very welcoming. Would recommend to anyone!

Right when you walk in the living room you see the great view of the lake. It was perfect. My grandchildren loved that we’re able to swim right out front with no worries of drop offs . We definitely will be back again.

Large windows to view the lake, comfortable beds, great sitting room, and the perfect little house for a getaway weekend. Small kitchen and bathroom with all the essentials. The large windows viewing the lake are the highlight of this stay!

We were able to nab this popular place for a one-night stay in between other bookings, and it was nice & clean, pretty great overall! We came up to celebrate our daughter's engagement which happened at Caberfae that afternoon. Plusses for this home include the comfort of the beds and soft linens with nice pillows, open main living area and kitchen, and of course the beautiful view of Lake Mitchell! Check in was a breeze, and the house warmed up quickly from a chilly 60 to comfortable 70. With that being said, the primary bedroom was hot overnight (we turned the heat down to 67 and then 65), while the bunk room was frigid with the door closed. Other notes for those considering booking: the bathroom is really small and may be challenging for bigger people to use. It has a small, old, stall shower. The newer, high toilet is a nice feature, though! You can smell the well water, which is an acquired taste for drinking or brushing your teeth. There is no dishwasher, so if you're cooking your own meals you'll also have to spend time washing up, which isn't my favorite when I'm on vacation. The stove is a tiny, old, electric model. We chose to go out for breakfast at the 13th Street Market: it was absolutely awesome, and fairly priced!I could envision staying here in the summer could be really great, and would love to see the beachfront and dock all set up.

Nice place that served our need for skiing at Caberfae, about 20 minutes away. Check-in time was strict as we were about 30 minutes early and were turned away, but that's ok as advertised. Overall a good value for a last minute booking.

Great place with an amazing view that made me miss living in the area. It is everything that is described to be and worked perfectly for us. I will be looking to stay again in the future.

Loved the place, location, etc....only problem was the TV. Normally not a problem but it was the start of the Olympics and a ROKU tv and only streaming. Tried several times to figure it out...ended up phoning the contact person in the book they have. Person listed to phone was no longer owner and gave us correct # to call. Finally ended up ordering an app to use while we were there and shut it off when we left. Other than that, great cottage, very clean, easy water access and plenty of room to enjoy the outdoors. Recommend it highly.

East to find, clean, exactly as described and everything we needed to enjoy a beautiful weekend away!!! Host was great at responding. Would highly recommend.
