Handmade railing leads you up to the loft, which is perfect for reading or relaxing, though in the summer you may prefer to spend time outside in the yard. Beautiful property!!!
the property and cabin where beautiful but-front electronic door lock did not work, no toaster, gas fireplace was difficult to get working, when it did it was barely working, tv and components where all unplugged and was a challenge to reconnect. shower on lower level had very poor flow. so a bit of maintenance would go along way in making this place a 5 star.. but its really nice even with a couple inconveniences. perfect lake -the view was 10 stars. We would stay again..
The chalet was as comfortable as it looks, and my eight friends loved the place, and the view of loon Lake. I was concerned that the lower-level bedrooms would be chilly, but there’s radiant heat in the slab so it was as comfortable as the main level. With nine single, mature adults staying together for a long weekend, none of us felt like we were crowding each other. At the time of this review, the description, photos and virtual tour are slightly outdated, so here’s what you’ll find in the way of beds: a pair of twin beds and one king bed on the lower level, two sets of twin beds and one king bed on the main level, and a trundle bed in the loft. The description also indicates a fireplace and a woodstove, but be assured there is only a gas fireplace on the main level, and an electric fireplace on the lower level (where apparently there once was a woodstove). We all found the beds very comfortable. A couple of caveats: The ignition on the grills didn’t work so be sure to bring a lighter with you since there were none on site. The gas fireplace didn’t turn on with the remote so you have to open the vent below the fireplace and move the switch on the small black box to the right. A terrific place overall!
We loved this log cabin and its cozy feel. It was very fitting for our winter ski trip!
Beautiful location, swimming was great. Beds were awful, very soft and uncomfortable. Row boat was like the Titanic, leaked. Place needs to be updated.
Lovely log home with private access to Loon Lake for swimming, fishing and all water activities. Lake water is clear and clean. Nice campfire area right on the the shore. Beautiful view of the loons diving and calling each other. Quick access to Rt 86 north to Lake Placid area. We came as a couple celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary but the home has plenty of room for an large or extended family comfortably. Plenty of activites to do within a days driving distance in all directions.
This home was the perfect place for two families to spend a week. The rooms are spacious and the house is so well placed on the lake. There are boats, games, a well stocked kitchen, and a deck to barbecue.
We were a family of 6 looking for a winter vacation home. It was beautiful inside as well as outside. The lake was frozen and we loved walking around on the lake. It was minutes to all our activities. Skiing at Gore Mountain, Snow shoeing at the Natural Stone and Caves in Pottersvile, Sledding on Dynamite Hill, visiting Lake George, and snow tubing at West Mountain . After days of winter fun it was great to come home to a beautiful comfortable home! Everyone had their own room and we enjoyed the ping pong table and many games! Thanks for sharing your beautiful home!
Everything was perfect!
Enjoyed our stay, weather was perfect, all the facilities and more were there. There was 5 adults and 1 children and we had plenty of room, beds and bathrooms. Although, we had some days that were very humid, was wishing there was air conditioning, we dealt with it with the fans that were provided. The convenience of having a sandy beach was absolutely wonderful for our 4 year old, he was in the water everyday. Loved the paddle boat and the kayaks.
