Lake House -1 block from Lake Michigan Sunsets

This property was clean, nicely decorated, spacious and on a quiet street. Its about a 10 min drive to downtown South Haven. It slept 4 adults and 2 children comfortably. Owner eesponded quickly when I messaged her with a question. Highly recommend.

House was great with only 1 big issue. Owner stares shower door needs to be lifted to open & close. Its much worse than stated. It’s an accident waiting to happen. One of our guests got stuck & had to have someone come in to open the door. The house otherwise was perfect,cozy & comfortable.

Wonderful house! This was by far the cleanest rental I’ve ever stayed in. The decor and overall appearance was fantastic, and the kitchen had everything we needed and more! The host was very responsive when I had questions. My family had an amazing week stay.

This was the cutest little house! We loved our stay. Everything was updated & nicely decorated. Large master bedroom, beautiful modern kitchen & a gorgeous yard. Close to town in a quiet, nice neighborhood. Would definitely stay here again when in south haven! Cannot give it high enough marks

We had a beautiful stay at this lake house, which provided everything we needed. We were pleasantly surprised at the convenient location and spaciousness of the rooms! Comfy bedding and beautiful openness of the property! Will definitely reserve for future visits!

Comfortable and cozy. No complaint's what so ever. If a issue did come up, the owner responded asap. I would recommend The Beach House for your stay in South Haven or surrounding area's.

The house was very well kept, clean and organized. My friends and I appreciated how close it was to South Haven and of course the beach. :)

The home was very well-equipped (for ex, kitchen and bathroom) and the beds were comfortable. The blue and white color scheme was pleasant. We enjoyed heading down to the end of the road to watch the sun set on our first evening there - one of my friends who was there is a poet and she even wrote a poem about it! The proximity to both South Haven and Saugatuck was perfect for us. After our first day, we experienced some windy and rainy weather off and on, but the house was so cozy that we didn’t mind.

Quiet, comfortable and clean. Close to everything that you would want to do. Beaches, parks, wineries and shopping. I would recommend The Lodge for simple dining in South Haven.

This was the perfect place for a girls weekend. It was in a great location, very convenient to the downtown shops and restaurants as well as the beach. We loved to walk down to the end of the road to see the beautiful lake views. The little details were greatly appreciated…coffee, creamer, teas, hot chocolate, soaps, kitchen utensil options, and much more. I would highly recommend staying here!

We enjoyed our time in this lovely space. It was clean and quiet and well stocked. I great place to relax yet a fairly short drive to South Haven. Susan responded quickly to the couple of questions I had.

This property was very well maintained, clean, comfortable, and well stocked with conveniences. The cottage was just charming, with blooming bushes out front, that my wife just loved. The kids loved the firepit, the backyard, and the wide screen TV. At the end of the road, one block away, we could view the sunset over the lake, and there were stairs down to swim. It was very conveniently located to great beaches: just a 10 minute drive from North Beach South Haven (25 minute bike ride I took three times in 4 days !), 15 minute drive from Saugatuck, 30 minute drive from Silver Beach. Would definately consider going back next year !

Beautiful property surrounded by trees. Very clean with 2 great decks - the only suggestion would be getting new sheets as the bedding looked old

The house was exactly as described and like the photos. Susan responded very quickly to my questions. Expectations for checking out were clear and concise. We had a great experience!

We enjoyed our stay at Hygge Cottage. It was a very functional, comfortable, and clean. It was a bit farther out from South Haven than we usually stay, so we had to coordinate as a group to get into town via car, but the trade-off was that we didn't have to book an entire week's stay. The change in location and scenery was actually enjoyable and it allowed us to park our small speed boat in the driveway and launch it from the ramps. Our only concern about the place was the sticky shower door and the potential for it breaking if it were to be pulled fully closed -- probably something that could be easily fixed. It was nice to have a yard and outdoor space, ability to build a fire (although we didn't) and sit outside. The property has two outside decks.

Very clean and beautifully decorated house. Close to everything we wanted to do in South Haven. Especially loved getting to walk to the end of the road for sunsets!

We love this property. The house is very clean, location is peaceful & it’s within few minutes drive time to the beaches and shops. We could not open the shower door over the pan but the owner addressed this issue immediately. We would stay again.

My boys and I stayed two nights at the lake cottage. It was perfect for us. Located less than 10 minutes from the beaches, and from South Haven itself, we spent the days swimming and then went into town for meals. It was a great stop to relax and unwind on our way home. The cabin was great for us; plenty of space, very clean, short walk to the shoreline. Very highly recommended for location, quality of the property, and fantastic communication from and with the manager.

The house was the perfect size for our family of 4. Very clean and even cuter in person! Communications were clear and we had no issues whatsoever. The location is really great, it feels secluded but is so close to South Haven and an easy drive to spend time in Saugatuck. After a day at North Beach in South Haven it was just a quick drive back to the house to shower and change and head back to town for dinner (Three Blondes is a favorite). Close proximity to the house meant not having to rinse off sand and change clothes in the bathrooms at the beach - and that made everyone happy! Thanks for a great stay, we’ll definitely be back!

This is our third time staying at this cottage because it couldn’t be more perfect! All needs are accommodated for. We especially love the short walk to the beach and being just 8 minutes away from South Haven.

This property was adorable, i loved all the flowers, herbs and succulents. I stayed with 4 kids and two adults. We played games that were available in the house. We had a cozy little fire on our lastnight, and walked down to the cliff. This place was close to a bunch of shops and boat rentals. A couple grocery stores near by so we were able to cook. Would absolutely stay here again!

Adorable and very clean little cottage provided ample indoor space for 3 adults. Open floor plan allowed us to engage and gather for breakfast. The bedrooms and bathroom are down a short hall for privacy. Kitchen is equipped for light cooking. Host thought ahead to provide items like coffee and tea, comfortable beds and plenty of towels to welcome us and make our stay pleasant. We did not have time to use the fire pit or outdoor decks this stay. Would definitely stay again if given the opportunity.

Quiet neighborhood within walking distance to lake views. No access to the actual lake shore due to recent landslides, but you can walk there and watch the sunset. Super clean and comfortable home, with easy access to all of the regional attractions. Everything in the home was great; very comfortable beds and pillows, fully functioning kitchen with all the basic food prep stuff like pots and pans, utensils, etc. My kids enjoyed the trundle beds, and we had fun with some of the games and puzzles. The only thing is that the light switches are a bit quirky. Some of them don't seem to control anything, and I couldn't figure out how to turn on the fan and overhead lights in the bathroom. The shower door doesn't close all the way, but we just put an extra towel on the floor and it was fine.

We had a wonderful time. The house was awesome. Had everything we needed and it was very clean. A relaxing place to come back to after a day of exploring. It was conveniently located close to everything we wanted to do. Would definitely stay here again!

This darling vacation home offers all that was advertised. Fabulous kitchen with eating area, 2 good sized bedrooms, lovely bath plus open living room w/ large Roku T.V.. I highly recommend this very pleasantly decorated home with loads of amenities! Plus, it is probably the cleanest rental in which I’ve ever stayed.

My college friends and I had a lovely weekend at this cute, well-appointed, and clean cottage. Susan did a wonderful job communicating with us. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with all the essentials. We will definitely want to stay here again!

This cottage was completely adorable and SO clean! The pictures on VRBO don't do it justice. The decor had a natural (loved the live plants!) and soothing feel. The area was very quiet and perfect for my solo retreat. It's also a very short drive to Kal-Haven trail, which was a delight. I plan to rent this again as this is one of the nicest VRBOs I've stayed in.

We have been using VRBO for years and have booked numerous accommodations through them. This little cottage house was 5 star all the way. The description of the listing is 100% accurate, which often isn't the case. In fact, the pictures don't really do it justice. Every room, every piece of furniture, and every blanket or bath towel was beyond comfortable. That can't be overstated. The bed was so wonderful (and we're picky) that we didn't want to get out of it! Suzy was an excellent host and immediately responsive to any questions. The house was IMMACULATE, so kudos to the cleaning company. Also, we like to cook on our weekends away and the kitchen was fully stocked with anything you could possibly need. Again, we often don't find that to be the case in our rental experience. The location is great, with the house being on a dead-end road and not close to any busy road. The trees offer tremendous privacy. We highly recommend this property---you won't be disappointed. Thank you Suzy!

This was a getaway for my mom and I. A little shopping and wine tasting. The home is beautiful and had everything we needed and more. Such care for the guests, she provided bath soaps, spices, teas, coffee and so much more. We are definitely planning a return trip with the girls. 6 people can comfortably sleep here. Beds were fantastic.

This very nice beach house is located a block or so from Lake Michigan & although there is awful beach erosion, the sunset views were incredible! There are so many Lake Michigan beaches so close to the house - it literally took us less than 10 minutes to get to several! Also, proximity to Phoenix Street and historic downtown South Haven was wonderful! The house sits on a beautiful lot and you have no neighbors close by so it's very quiet! It is decorated really cute with tons of real plants & every comfort of home - soft throws, comfortable furniture and bed, coffee beans with a grinder for fresh coffee & various teas and a tea kettle. Only utensil we couldn't find was a pizza cutter, but a large knife worked great! It's bright and airy and we would definitely stay here again.

Very cute house. Very clean and has all the amenities. Beds were comfortable. My one complaint would be the shower. Not great water pressure. Could have been user error. But other than that we loved it. Nice area. Short drive to the beach.

House was very clean and decorated beautifully in a quiet neighborhood. Plenty of room for two adults and two kids. Full kitchen has everything you need. The deck was a great place to hang out and had a sun shade overhang so you weren't directly in the sun. Very quick drive to downtown and plenty to do. 10/10 would recommend!

It was our first time in South Haven and it was a perfect weekend getaway. Susan’s home is beautiful, impeccably clean and had all the lovely decor and little touches to make it feel so warm, cozy and comfortable. Even had a list on the counter of recommendations for places to eat, beaches and outdoor activities. The neighborhood was so peaceful and serene and close to everything.
