nice quiet location. close to town
Enjoyed the stay and the communication between the owners and ourselves. Place was perfect for us and the location was dead on for us.
Such a great time we had as we experienced the quietness, restful and peaceful atmosphere here. The goose, deer, hawks and of course the entertaining squirrels made their daily visits to check on us. Indoors, everything was done to make us feel at home and the cottage was well stocked to meet our every need during our stay. Back porch sitting topped off the evenings of our wonderful weekend and we hope to return soon for another visit. Janis and Tracy Mehlenbacher San Antonio, TX
It was private and quiet. Had corn to feed deer and ducks
Enjoyed it all!
Its a very nice clean property. We all enjoyed it, especially the deer & the dry river, was able to take walks on the dry bed.
Just a little over a mile from downtown Bandera with wildlife all around. It was a great jumping off point for our multiple daily motorcycle rides including the Sisters. Lots of parking on paved surfaces. Other home on property is super quiet. Never even saw them. It isn’t 5-star but super comfortable. If you’re tall/big, the shower might be a challenge but it does the trick! The 6’2” hubby got the job done every evening lol! Corn available to put out for the deer. Lots of birds including birds of prey. Small lake behind the house. It was a very relaxing place to end our days!
A very nice and relaxed stay in Bandera. It was a bummer that the lake was dry. We are hoping for some rain for Bandera and the hill country. We really enjoyed hiking in parks and coming home and having a nice dinner at the house and hanging out. Nice wrap around porch.
Very cozy and quiet place. Great layout and porch area. All the amenities
We enjoyed our stay so much because the cabin location was so peaceful and private. Sitting on the porch swing watching the deer was great!
Perfect place.! Everything was exceptional.
Just what we needed for our time in Bandera. Our friends are building a house and are living in a 5th wheel so the cabin was very roomy for our card games. Thank you.
This is a Great cottage for weekend get away. The deer in morning and evening were awesome but the fireflies at night were Awesome too- plan to rent again
Cute little cottage. Beautiful view of lake area. Feeding and watching the deer was amazing. Quiet and peaceful. About 4 minutes to town. Would definitely stay there again.
It really doesn't get any better than this. Feels like you are miles out in the country, but really only a couple minutes from main street. Beautiful large property with lots of trees. Tons of deer roaming in the morning and evening. Cabin is stocked with everything you would ever need. Owners super nice and responsive. Just a great place to stay in Bandera.
Definitely will stay again!
This delightful cottage is the perfect mix of secluded and close to town. Everything you need is provided.
Very quiet and beautiful area. My husband and I just wanted to get out of town. The cabin was clean, stocked with necessities, linens and was very comfortable.
We were lucky to find this house on short notice! This was our 4th get-away stay in Bandera. We enjoyed our stay despite a few issues. It’s a cute house, well appointed, and it sits about 100 feet from the lake. However, during our stay in April the lake was nearly dry. The house location is far enough behind a RV park and tiny subdivision that you hear no other noise from houses. Margaret is a concerned owner; She called us the day before and every day during our stay. Location is peaceful and quiet. Upon throwing corn out on the lawn, you’re steps away from deer grazing in the evening, a delight! PRO’s: cute house w A/C, ADT alarm, complete kitchen, bath with washer and dryer, large bedroom, outside grill w charcoal. Location Peaceful and secluded. Con’s: the house had a musty smell first day especially in front room because all windows were nailed shut. Fridge contained Used food products that needed to be disregarded, toaster required cleaning to be used. Distance from OST, 11st Cowboy Saloon was just under 2 miles away, Grill was filthy, smoke detector was inoperative, new battery for it laptop refrigerator. ADT alarm beaped every time one opened the door. Never found hiking trails described by owner; neighbors indicated they didn’t exist. In future, we would secure a location with Wi-Fi.
I had family in town and they stayed here and loved it.
We enjoyed staying at the Lake Hiawatha Cottage. It is off the beaten path, so it's very quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed feeding and watching the deer. It is a nice/relaxing place to stay if you're planning on visiting Bandera. Margaret was a great host!
