Excellent house. Very roomy, clean and well stocked. Great lake access. That said we will never use VRBO again. They collected full deposit on June 14 and did not return till August 6. I give the house 5 stars and VRBO 0 stars.

I normally don't leave reviews but I wished someone would've told me these things in advance. The house is very clean and well organized, loved that! Lots of room, it's very spacious for groups. Now the downside, there is very minimal service for phones etc. if you ever have any at all. The a/c has to be kept at 72 degrees or above or it will freeze and you'll be without any air for at minimum 6 hours. The plumbing has issues, although a family of four staying we didn't have any issues. There are signs in the bathroom that if you clog the toilet from not flushing often enough you will be responsible for the plumbing service cost. We tried watching the house provided Netflix/disney and problem with both. The first night there was no service for either to stream and the second night both services were shut off and we had no access to any streaming on the tv whatsoever the remaining of the stay. The pool table leans, so if you are an avid player this is aggravating. There is very minimal view of the lake and what seemed to us an easy walk/hike down to the lake but then large logs and such to where you wouldn't be able to get in the water without issues. As far as the roads to the house are concerned, they are well maintained but extremely curvy and you want to make sure you have good brakes as the roads are steep. I hope this helps someone as I said I would have like to have known this from someone's previous stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Lake Escape. Initially before booking I was a little concerned because it is an older property however this house was a pleasant surprise. It was very clean, tons of space and a well stocked kitchen. It is on the lake across from the Sailboat Marina. In the evening, we saw a deer come through the yard while spending time on the deck. All my questions were promptly answered and I asked a lot of questions! They helped us navigate parking arrangements and even provided pictures so we could better understand the layout of the driveway.Great trip!!!

The home was very well stocked and clean. Lots of room & space for our 7 adults, 1 infant & 3 dogs. We only wished that the view was better from the deck - too many trees. The roads in were scary steep & windy, but you get used to them. Roads are well maintained but GPS struggles & 5G fails close to the home. Very good neighborhood.

The house is located at the end of a small cove on the lake, there is a little view of the lake however the trees obscure most of the view. The house itself was comfortable and cozy on those rainy days and we had several during our stay. We did not find the access to the lake very easy and there were several trees in the water where you would try to get in from the shore. It was a quiet and relaxing stay, enjoyed sitting out on the back deck reading and listening to the sounds of nature. Took multiple walks with our dogs and at least once a day we saw deer on our walks, even had an eagle fly near by. Would recommend a stay here if what you are looking for is to slow down a bit and enjoy some relaxation.

My wife and I and a group of our friends stayed at this house after weather forced us to cancel our float trip. It was spacious and quiet and the pool table came in handy when had to stay indoors.

We stayed in the home for 5 days and 4 nights. Our family had a great time hanging out together in the main part of the home. The lower level where most of us slept was not comfortable and smelled of “basement” that stuck to our clothes and persons throughout the trip. Beds/mattresses seemed a little too old and we could have used more blankets available to us When we rented we weren’t informed of a burn ban so no fire pits use was allowed. That would have been nice to know before we got there as well as the area has heavy mosquitoes and chiggers. It didn’t help that the windows and patio didn’t have screen doors to allow fresh air in the house We would not stay there again. I didn’t contact the manager as these things were not solvable before we were leaving. The house was clean overall from a housekeepers perspective.

We really enjoyed our stay. It was what we were looking for, a nice quiet area. The house had everything we needed to prepare our meals except the food. It's unfortunate there isn't a grocery store closer to this community. I imagine the locals think the same thing. Everything was clean and just as described. Communication with the manager was good. If we are ever in the area again, we will remember this home.
