Lake Access Retreat | Pet Friendly | Fire Pit

Everything on the inside of the property was per the listing but the outside was a bit of a disappointment. There was construction going on that limited the parking and there was debris around the fire pit.

Wonderful stay again for the third year in a row. Frozen lake is beautiful, house is warm and living space is excellent for annual get away. All new clean towels and kitchen with all the essentials. Thanks!we’ll see you next year!

Great house, our nonprofit leaders had a great time, the large great room was perfect for activities.

This was our second time staying here. The location is awesome and we had everything we needed. We had a great time with family. Would highly recommend this lodge to anyone with a big group. It’s just fantastic!!

Fantastic winter stay. Clean, safe and fun place. Perfect for a multi family get-away. Amenities like multiple TVs (in every room), linens, dishes, soaps and more made for a very efficient stay.

House was very large and spacious, location was great and right on the lake. House was clean with plenty towels. Kitchen was stocked ok. Some bad pots. No cookie trays or like cake pans so take your own. plenty silverware and cooking utensils.Pictures need to be updated. Furniture, paint and floors are different.We went in December, the house was very cold in the master bedroom and bathroom in the master was freezing and could not even use it. and the upstairs would not go above 65. We woke up and there was no hot water in the downstairs. And no one came when I contacted them.

Kitchen was perfect for having a large family dinner as we celebrated an early thanksgiving. We were able to spend time together in the kitchen and living spaces as well as retreat to privacy in the many bedrooms. We loved the location right on the water and enjoyed watching and listening as a storm rolled in.

Three small problems. Just letting the host know because I know he will take care of them as soon as he is made aware. The recessed light near the back door is out. There was no hot water in the kitchen sink. The fan in the master bed fireplace doesn't work Those are very minor. I've stayed here for over five years and love the place.

nice place to gather. Could use a bit of curb appeal. Floor could use some specialized cleaning, seems like it is just mopped w water and not vacuumed and mopped w/cleaner. That being said we had a great time. Lots to do in the area. ( Extremely uncomfortable with a man showing up to be in a so called service area unannounced fixing food and napping. Made my younger family members VERY Leary of the security/safty of the house we were in. Freezer for ice does not work. Master shower head leaked

We have been visiting Geneva On The Lake each summer for over 15 years and this is by far the best place we’ve stayed at. The house was spacious, the location was perfect and everyone had a great time. We will definitely be back!

Always a great time. This is the fourth time that i have gotten this property. I have notice the upgrades and the manager is very ptompt. I love it here

Kitchen and appliances and bathrooms were nice and the general condition of the house was just okay. While it was nice to have many bedrooms, none of the mattresses were good at all. Most of us did not sleep well as a result... The linens were tired and the quilts on the beds looked like they don't get laundered very often. The house furniture is not the furniture pictured in the photos. The furniture was worn and frayed. The chairs at the table had leather seats that were worn, tired and peeling.Generally speaking when I booked the house for our large family I expected it to be a cut above considering the description.It was okay. My expectations were higher based on the how the property was described and pictured.

We celebrated our parents 50th wedding anniversary the weekend we stayed in Geneva. This house was a perfect location for the family to stay before the party. The back yard was a wonderful hangout with firepit and lake access. The accommodations were as advertised, clean and comfortable. Hi highly recommend this home for large family or friend groups.

We go to Geneva on the Lake every summer and have been staying at this house for several years now. We are a large group of 15 and there is plenty of room for everyone and 4 bsthrooms! We love visiting the strip and lots of wineries.

This house with its 10 bedrooms and four bathrooms meets all the needs that we have for our family. There’s a huge kitchen that we could cook meals in and eat together. We love sitting around the fire pit, and there was plenty of wood. There was even a wood delivery while we were there, and we had a fire every night and hung out in the backyard.We we were able to get down to the beach. It’s a little sketchy, but we were able to get down there and even get in the lake.Very close to the strip and all of the arcades and restaurants. We had a great time and we look forward to coming back again next summer! Matt is a great host and very responsive to anything we needed!!

Loved the house! So did all my friends! The photos of accommodations are very accurate! Even though the weather was rather wet and cold, we had a wonderful time. We even managed to get the firepit going one evening. Only one complaint - no closet space, not even hangers to use on available hooks! Other than that very enjoyable stay!

This place was perfect! 16 ladies who needed to 'bug out of Dodge'; the location, space, fire pit, and bands hit thd spot! Will be back next year! And kudos to Matt the host, very accomodating.

Excellent view for this size lodge! The location was great for our needs coming from Erie, PA. It was awesome to have plenty of towels, garbage bags, toilet paper and pods for the dishwasher. The shampoo and hand soap were also appreciated. We didn't have to strip the beds which was so helpful. These nice extras you don't often see. Kitchen was well equipped. Fridge was great. Dishwasher works. Stove was nice but had very touchy knobs which turned the gas on in two separate instances after just brushing up against them to use the microwave above. We had to be extra cautious around that area.The dining room table set up could have been better. There are only 4 dining room chairs for the table with no leaf to extend it. The other available chairs were plastic folding chairs to accommodate the 8 of us who wanted to sit together to dine and playing games.The heat was able to be well regulated. The living room furniture was comfortable. The beds were nice and comfortable with nice bedding. There were 3 of the upstairs bedrooms which had doors that had issues. One door rubbed the floor so badly that it was extremely noisy and didn't close. The second room's door rubbed and stuck as well, but was able to be closed. The third room with the single bed had no door latch, so banged against the door jam during the night when the window needed to be open for the occupant who needed the outside air.The overall stay was great and met our needs. We would stay here again.

Great stay. House has tons of sleeping space. 4 bathrooms is a plus. The floors needefcleaned/swiftered.

Took a trip with family and friends for my birthday. Location was perfect. Best part of this location was that everyone was able to have their own room.

Girls weekend for the second year in a row- SO much space! Lake views are beautiful in the winter! The lodge was spotless again this year! Plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms and towels. Kitchen is equipped with basics. Even room to set up 6’ table for nerdy puzzling.Property manager was very responsive! We plan on coming back again next year!

The house was everything and more than we expected. The owner was extremely quick to address a minor issue. Can’t thank you enough.

GreatLocations Beautiful views

We had an AMAZING stay with our 6 kids, their partners, our 4 grandkids & our dogs! We all had our own rooms & were able to take space as needed before coming back together! The views were spectacular & even though it was FREEZING, we didn’t care and went outside & played in all the snow! In addition to the fabulous hospitality, the house was clean, warm, & inviting. We had a car issue for one of our kids & they were super supportive & understanding while we figured out where to tow her vehicle to. The memories we made this weekend will last forever!!! We will be back as soon as we can! This was one of the BEST trips our family has ever had! I’m so thankful we chose here & not another place! Thank you for all of your support & gracious understanding!!

Amazing space great view of lake.

We are life long Lake Erie visitors. We’ve stayed many places along the lake. This was one of our favorites by far. The location was great and the Edge Water Lodge provided plenty of room for us to spread out. We want to make this a yearly tradition for our family.

The property was perfect for our visit. There was plenty of space to gather as well as rooms to sleep. The outside fire pit was great despite the record snow Geneva received the week of our stay. The snow was plowed and access to the lodge was easy. The kids used cut up cardboard boxes to slide down the mini hill created by the snow. A small igloo was created in the snow for the kids while the adults gathered by the fire. A short walk down to Madsen donuts Saturday morning satisfied everyone’s sweet tooth. The grinch showed up to offer evening entertainment for all! The perfect family getaway.

We had an amazing family reunion at one of Matt Caudill's properties on Geneva-on-the-Lake. Matt was incredibly accommodating, ensuring all our needs were met. The location of the property was perfect—close to restaurants, entertainment, and everything we needed for a fun and relaxing stay. The home itself was exceptionally well-stocked, making our stay comfortable and hassle-free. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend Matt's property to anyone looking for a great getaway!

Property was in a great location with great views and walking distance to restaurants and bars. Perfect for our group of friends for a quick weekend bachelorette party! Everyone was very comfortable.

The house was really great because we could all be together! 10 bedrooms left us close, but still spread out enough! And with four bathrooms, there was always one available when needed!! We enjoyed fires in the fire pit every night, and thank you for the Firewood provided! The kitchen living room area was big and open Where we could cook and socialize With family at the same time. Very close to the strip easy to walk to everything. We were concerned about the beach access, but all of us made it down to the beach without much problem. It was a great stay! We would definitely consider coming back next summer!!

We had the best stay. Very clean and the location is perfect

Property was good. Edge of Geneva on the Lake partiers. Band at bar across the street was loud and terrible. Not owners fault. Music stopped at 11:00 PM. Toilet in master bathroom needs attention. Did not always stop running water. Electric was out for 3 hours. Called owner who notified electric company. Handled nicely.

This is our second stay at this location. It is a beautiful lodge in a nice location and conveniences. While paying a premium price, you expect a high standard: Im disappointed that the upper balcony was unkempt and trashed as this is where I enjoyed my reading and morning coffees the prior visit. It even had a broken bench laying down. Embarrassing really. It was also evident that housekeeping was in a hurry and didn't check under beds etc.

Property and location have something for everyone. GOTL is a throw back to to much simpler time. Great for all family ages. The property is perfect for large gatherings. Plenty of bedrooms and 4 full baths make it very accommodating. Lot's of kitchen supplies and seating areas. This is our second stay and we will be back.
