Lagoon-Facing Duplex | Shared Boat Launch & Pier + Steps to Beach

Dirty. Noisy. House needs maintenance. Internet issues. Grill was unusable. Rusted patio furniture. The travel folks try to bribe a good review for a gift card.

Nice spot on the water. The kids enjoyed the beach area and dock.

Overall our stay here was amazing! The view was great, the backyard had a ton of wildlife for the kids to catch and play with and the sand was a huge hit. The location could not have been better. The only issues we had were that it looked like the house needed some maintenance and cleaning. Some of the floor boards were taped down, the couch was broke, the bathtub knob was broke, and some stains on the comforters but that was pretty minimal to the overall stay. We would definitely stay here again!

My family and I enjoyed our stay here. We loved having the small beach area for our grandchildren to play in.

I picked this unit for the location, which was great for my family. The small beach area on the lagoon was perfect for my 17 month old. Unfortunately, we where relocated after the first night of our stay due to the severity of black mold present in the house. The situation took up a whole day from our family vacation ( maintenence, mold company and AC company coming in and out to inspect). We were moved into a cheaper unit (although nicer) and not given a full refund of the difference between the two units. I will say the property management was quick to respond but disappointed in the situation and not receiving the appropriate refund.

Check-in and communication with rental company was excellent. Overall the unit appears clean and smells clean but some attention to details, such as doors are needed. The floors were less than desirable, there were several areas that were warped and coming up, also an area in the middle of the living area was patched with blue painters tape, very unsightly. The dishwasher does not work properly, I had to clean dishes that had been put away dirty. In addition, the ice maker on the fridge makes about 10 cubes a day, not even sufficient for one person to use much less a house that sleeps 10. The private beach behind the unit was nasty. I had to pick up trash and honestly wouldn't recommend it for small children to swim there. Beds were very comfortable but no extra blankets or throws were available. The unit only has blinds, no curtains for those that would like to sleep in. The dock was nice but there was a constant steam of kids fishing off the dock and leaving behind a mess. A neighbor had to go to a clinic to have a fish hook removed early one morning. Overall not a bad experience, just some things that could be addressed to make your stay better. Loved the sunrise and sunsets from the balcony and location to the beach. Although, the pass was being dredged when we were there and the Gulf water was nasty, we made the best of it. I love the area because it's not as commercialized. I would consider staying here again, maybe in the fall or winter but not during the summer.

We had so much fun at the Lazy Pelican! The house, private beach, and location were perfect for our family!

Everything was perfect! The location, communication with the property manager, ease of check-in, lagoon access, private shared dock and quaint beach area on the lagoon side, across the street from the ocean, we loved it all! We are already planning our next trip down!

We loved every second of this place. We should have booked more days bc we did not want to go home
