Stayed Apr 20, 2022Laffy Taffy was beautiful all around. From the nice decor, lush towels and the many outdoor seating options. We loved the top deck which we referred to as the “Tip Top Lounge” where you can watch the ocean waves or catch the sunset. The property managers were amazing with their communication and we never once had a question as they continually sent information our way. We were surprised at some of the other reviews and didn’t find a thing worth complaining about! We will be back!!

Stayed Jun 12, 2021The home was well kept with a few exceptions that can easily be remedied...spray for insects, replace living area furniture (stains on sofa/pillows), replace router/modem for faster wifi, it was soooo slow (and I was having to go to Starbucks every morning at 6am to get a few hrs of work done) otherwise the home was cozy!

Stayed Oct 25, 2020We had a nice time overall at the house. It is no frills, this is not a luxury home and that was fine for us. The photos are almost 100% accurate in my opinion, there is different furniture in the living room but it was nice enough. All the bare essentials were there and we didn't have anything missing, with the exception of the broom and pan which I went out and bought. There could definitely be some upgrades, the counters look absolutely terrible honestly and the glass top stove was cracked all the way through when we arrived. Not a great start to our vacation but the rental manager brought us a hot plate. Not ideal but oh well. The house was also mysteriously connected to the house next door by one wall in the 2nd floor, which was bizarre but there wasn't anyone renting or there when we were so we couldn't say if it would be annoying to hear neighbors. I would doubt it though. Two car garage downstairs with a two car driveway. The pool was nice but cold, and we spent all our time at the beach so we didn't utilize it much. There's a bike path in front of the house, we would have brought our bikes but the ride was too far. There is also a nice walkway across the lake in the back. The beach is absolutely beautiful. It was nice to see the sliver of blue from the 3rd floor. Great for coffee (after the long walk up). We happened to arrive on a hurricane week, so it was not the best it's ever looked but I didn't care. The beach IS PRIVATE PROPERTY. All the homes had private beachfront and we have NO idea until a woman embarrassed us to leave literally in the middle us toasting on our 1st Wedding anniversary at sunset. She stood in front of us (during a pandemic) to get us to move. Not the fault of the house, obviously but it could not have been a more uncomfortable experience and we were mortified. I just wish we knew to avoid that. It seems like the beach is accessible for walking at the water's edge, but not for setting up chairs for a hour or two and definitely not for hanging out if you aren't oceanfront property. This would have been VERY nice to know ahead of time. Please make sure to include that in the listing or at the very least in the house documents. All in all, we ended up just driving down to public access points but beware. There isn't anything like that in the mid Atlantic beaches. We would stay with Ocean Reef again, hands down. They are a fantastic company. Just some minor things that would take this house from ok to great.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The pictures were taken 20 years ago and are in SERIOUS need of updating. The positive? The proximity to the beach. The negatives? Ant problem on the kitchen counters. Kitchen counter tiles were held on by tape in some areas. Broken and cracked stove top so we could only cook on one burner. The WiFi did not work at all unless you sat physically next to the box in one of the bedrooms. The dining room furniture chair arms were broken or loose. The toilets were also loose so they shifted when you sat on them. The tub faucet knobs leaked onto the bathroom floor in master bath. Sink clog in master bath. The cleanliness of the property was disappointing as we kept finding items from previous guests. The couches, rugs, etc. were in need of a serious deep clean. No rugs to wipe feet on by the doors so I had to put towels down on the floor. No beach chair rental available on the beach in front of the home.

Stayed Sep 26, 2020The location of this house is perfect. Directly across the street from beach access and the walk is very short. We had our toddler with us and the walking distance from the house to the beach was a breeze. Beautiful views from each level. The town is not over crowded but still had good restaurants and cute little shopping area. If you enjoy walks you can walk around the loop at the lake on the sidewalks. The property management team was great at communicating. We will be coming back soon!
