Sulphur, Oklahoma
La Cabaña Loma Verde
(The green hill cabin) is located in the heart of the Arbuckle Mountains!
Minutes from all the amenities of Oklahoma’s backyard has to offer, this cabin is located in beautiful secluded 6 acre property at an elevation of 1,088 ft. Cabin sleeps 6 people
We had a great stay at La Cabana. Plenty of room for my 3 year old to play, no low to the ground decor for her to thrash, and the perfect pocket bedroom for her to sleep (she called it her cave). It was never too hot inside and my daughter made her first s’mores in the fire pit. Everything was very clean and all the kitchen/BBQ tools we needed were easily accessed. I had to contact Paul twice and he was very quick to answer both times (both times were my mistakes, not property issues). Do NOT rely on GPS to get you there, follow Paul’s map! He also sent some awesome restaurant & activity suggestions. We would 100% stay again.
Very relaxing
Great property. Remote, clean, great communication with owner. Only thing I would add is outdoor electric plug for bass fisherman to charge their boat batteries. Other than that. Great place!!
Cozy and secluded cabin close to Davis and Sulphur. We were able to visit Turner Falls as well as 2 state parks and the Chickasaw National Recreation Area from this location. Paul was an excellent host!
We enjoyed our stay at this nice property. Our favorite part was the fire pit area. We hung out there each morning and evening. It is secluded and we liked the views so understood the lack of curtains, but it is a little disconcerting. We wanted a getaway and it fit the bill.
We had a very nice weekend. We went out to Turner falls for a friend's birthday. We enjoyed the cabin a lot. There were a few things we might change like better Wi-Fi. We cannot watch any movies Or too much that had to do with Wi-Fi. And we would suggest maybe putting some curtains up in the bedrooms. 7 AM comes bright and early. Overall we had a wonderful time at the cabin and we will be running it again.
The cabin was nice, however several things were a challenge for us. The amenities were not as expected. The wifi was okay, but we struggled with the TV and available channels. There were no window coverings in the bedrooms, which despite being remote, we preferred to cover them. The main bedroom would have been too hot during the day if left uncovered. Basics are in the kitchen for some cooking and we managed okay.
This was a really cute property. The owner was amazing and reached out with all the information I needed. He even sent me several websites of things to do around the area. When the listing says secluded, it means it. There were houses close by, but from the property, all you can see is trees and the great outdoors. It had a very homey feel and the fire pit was my family's favorite part. If I had any concerns (for lack of a better word) it would be the internet was very spotty and the house was on the warmer side during the day. It only had window units and no curtains or blinds. I was a little worried we would be hot at night, but that wasn't the case at all. Once the sun went down, it actually got a little chilly with the window units. I wasn't worried about the internet, but my son was mad Netflix wouldn't load well and kept buffering when he was trying to watch a show before bedtime. Not a huge deal. We weren't there to watch t.v. However, if you need your internet, this is probably not the place you want to book. If you want a secluded little spot close to Turner Falls or Chickasaw Recreational area, this is a great place. We made lots of great memories in the short time we were there. Highly recommend.
We had a great stay at La Cabana. The location is very secluded and absolutely beautiful. It is very conveniently located to both Turner Falls and Chickasaw Natl Recreation Area. We enjoyed exploring the outdoor area surrounding the cabin and sitting by the fire pit and on the screened in patio. The cabin itself was comfortable with pretty much everything we needed. The ceiling fan in the master bedroom makes a constant clicking noise, so we could not use it at night. A draining rack for dishes would make things easier in the kitchen. The main change I would make is to add some window coverings to the east-facing windows in the bedrooms. There are no window coverings anywhere in the cabin except the bathroom. I'm sure this is to maximize the beautiful views, but the morning sun is a kind of a rude awakening when shining brightly in your face before 7:00 AM. I would still recommend and stay at this property again. Paul was SUPER helpful with directions and information about the area, as well as recommendations on what to do and places to eat.
?I arrived at 8 o'clock at night and left the house early in the morning , and when I returned, it was 8.5 pm when I came across the water was cut off. I was also need take a shawer and restroom but I could not. I asked to you how long it take to result he said tech still working on it and don't know when wateis connecting, his suggest to give another propery but first need to make sure is that is ready and that set. for that reason I explained I left property at 10pm and drop keys in the smart key box. And I asked the house manager to reimburse me for the cost of the second night, but he never answered !!!!
Cabin was nice great getaway. Saw deer on property kids loved it and so did we. Host was very helpful and informative about area. Will definitely be back.
Our hangout was the screened-in back porch that had a wonderful setup of a tv, table and chairs. We plugged in a fan and found it to be our little oasis. Everything was super clean, with rustic furnishings to give you that cabin feel. Beware of leaving out any shoes to dry on the boulders...one was nabbed by morning time. Turner Falls was a lot of fun, especially the carriage ride that gave us a fun overview of everything it had to offer. I don't say this often: we would go back again! :)
