Kirkland's Keep - Old NH Place, 300 Yds to Beach, Elevator, Pool, Hot Tub, Putting Green, Pets OK

We are a group of cousins from TX, FL, and NC who got together for a short vacation. Kirtland’s Keep was the perfect place. The house was immaculate, loaded with games and puzzles, and it had a lot of room for us to spread out. It was just a short walk to the ocean via a nice walkway. The only disappointment was that the private putting green was not in good condition, but we hardly had time for it anyway. If we are able to go to OBX again, we will definitely choose Kirtland’s Keep.

Family of four had a great time. Adult kids (18-22) loved the place. The ice machine was so helpful. Very nice beach supplies in garage which was important for us as we flew in from east coast and couldnt bring our own. If we ever go back i want to stay here again.

I have a video if you’d like to see. Guessing needs sealed at the roof somewhere. 2) the plumbing does not drain well (think this is common in OBX).neither of these bothered our stay - just wanted to point them out for you.

The walk to the beach was very easy. The house was clean and well maintained. The elevator was a little touchy on the top floor (door didn't always lock, so it would get stuck on 3rd floor until door was locked). We loved our stay there and will definitely be back next year!

Beach realty responded immediately to our questions and requests. This property doesn’t have a garbage disposal in the kitchen sink which was inconvenient for us as we are avid cooks in the family. Regardless it was a fun week!

It has all amenities as listed including a ping pong table in the garage! The most noticeable quality is the cleanliness of the house and the well equipped kitchen. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub, pool area and the putting green. The game collection is expansive and came in handy for our game nights. The location of the house is perfectly located on a quiet street with beach access close by. The back yard is also very private and beautiful. The rental company was very responsive with our needs and friendly upon arrival. We can't wait to come back!

Beach Realty is a pleasure to deal with. We don’t normally review homes but this one has a few amenities that we thought were worth mentioning. First off, there are filtered water spouts at the sinks which helped out with making coffee and we spent less on bottled water. Also, there was a nice ice maker in the kitchen as well as the ice maker in the freezer. There was a gas stove which was nice for cooking. The coffee maker did have a reusable filter, usually we need to buy disposable filters in rental homes. We liked the books and games in the living room. The putting green did have putters and balls to use. There was a ping pong table in the garage. There were a couple of yard games, ie corn hole, and the side yard was perfect for that. The beds were comfortable. The shower water pressure was very good which is not always the case. We did not hear the noise from the highway while we were in the house or the yard. We once stayed right across the street and the highway noise was very noticeable so this was a nice surprise. Lastly, the short walk to the beach is along a really pretty walkway. Highly recommend Kirtland’s Keep!

Our only complaint was that there was no remote for the Roku in the master bedroom. We would not hesitate to stay here again, and hope to do just that next year!

Amazing stay at Kirkland's Keep. A beautiful house in a great location. It had everything we needed. The basement level was especially helpful with kids- it gave them a place to hand out in the evenings, etc. Easy walk to beach and near all the Nag's Head action. Definitely recommend!
