The house is beautiful and large with great views! It needs some minor repairs outside on the deck and the pool is temporarily out of commission, but despite that, we LOVED IT! Amazing views all around; decently stocked kitchen and well stocked bathrooms with complimentary shampoos, conditioner, and body wash. We stayed here for our daughter's wedding weekend and the staff at HCPL was amazing and fulfilled all of my requests prior to, and during, our stay. Thank you HCPL!!
The property itself is beautiful but there were some issues not pictured in the listing. The pool is in really bad shape which is certainly not visible in the photos. Upon arriving we realized the home smelled like stale smoke. We immediately messaged the property management as their policy stated they could fine us if we smoked inside. They responded quickly which I appreciated and said that the previous guests had thrown a party and the openers and housekeepers were working as hard as possible to get the property ready for us. We had arrived a little early and they were in fact still working on the home, but I personally do not think they gave themselves enough time to properly take care of the property, party or not. In addition to the smoke smell there were some cleanliness issues in the common areas that had not been addressed. Overall we had a wonderful stay and the home was beautiful but the maintenance of the pool and home needs to be improved. I really appreciated the management company's quick responses to me and I certainly think they have been receptive to feedback and will improve this home for guests in the future.
We loved the view and lovely home. Spacious and clean. We felt there were 2 areas of concern. Broken tile on pool edge was sharp. We would not take children there. Beautiful spacious deck needs multiple levels painted with lines for safety stepping. Overall we were very pleased.
Online pictures are not accurate or up to date, the house looked nicer online. Our daughter slipped and fell due to the lose tile along the side of the pool. We have used Hillcountry premier lodging many times and are quite disappointed that this house was shown on their site as a rental for the condition it’s in. Nonfunctional Porch & Pool lights Brocken tile inside pool Brocken and lose tile along the pool Lots of Wasps and Nests along the pool area Urine smell in hall way upstairs and living room Pool Pump not working Lots of Spiders along pool area and inside house Hair on sinks Trash all along deck Restroom towel fixture broken Lose shower drain in master bedroom Dirty kitchen chair cushions with dog hair Stains on master bedroom headboard I notified Hillcountry Premier about the house’s condition and they suggested… I buy my own wasp spray and take care of it myself but the nests were too high up along the side and top of house not reachable, never acknowledged the broken and lose tiles nor that they caused my daughter to fall, and said they would notify their team about the lights not working. They should inspect the house before showing it available and safe to rent online.
This property has a great location but needs some serious upkeep. The house, deck and pool are more run down than they look in the pictures. The pool was very dirty and the deck area has a serious wasp problem, we think they may be living the the homes attic. It may be important for some to know to get to the bunk bed room you have to walk through the upstairs guest room. The bunk bed room is an add on and did not seem to have A/C, which meant the door needed to be left open all night. Ants attacked a lot of our food on the kitchen counter. I did not report any of these problems during our stay. I did report that we did not have any internet and said they knew it was out but forgot to tell us and said it would not be fixed until after our stay. I would have overlooked a lot of these problems had the price not been so high. We were expecting more for what we paid.
Needs better upkeep, no wifi, pool very dirty
Our family gathering was held in Wimberley, Texas, and this house met all our needs. The pool was wonderful and the availability of the grill provided an excellent way to prepare meals and swim which met we were all in the same area. Very conducive to family memories.
The house was very nice, clean and comfortable. However there were a few details that I feel could have made this a great place. The pool in the pictures is deceiving it needs some repairs and is a shallow pool. Also only 4 chairs around the outside table. They only had one umbrella outside to use so it was hard to shelter from the sun. The other issue we had was the WiFi connection was bad. If you have to work or want to watch tv the connection made it extremely hard. We did call the management and they never got back to us. Like I said the house is nice and roomy just a few minor details,
This property was really great! We loved the privacy of the location and our family from ages 2-50 enjoyed it. We were able to swim everyday and the proximity to everything from town to wineries was wonderful. The only thing I would recommend is the property management doing better as far as the pool being clean upon check in. When we arrived there was a lot of tree debris, a pair of goggles, and a plastic cup at the bottom of the pool. There are also broken tiles around the outside pool, which was an issue for our kids walking around the pool. If they could fix those two minor issues then the property is a perfect stay!
Spent Easter weekend 2023 here. Ill mark this year as the best Easter in memory spent with family. The views especially sunrises from the master bedroom were 2nd to none. Great spot to relax & connect with loved ones. The town of Wimberley has great shops, restaurants & vibe. I should add H.E.B delivers groceries to this address which i look for with all vacations so less chores & more time to relax. I hope to be back.
This home is in a lovely setting. It is an easy drive into Wimberley. The property is very clean. Plenty of parking space. The living room and kitchen are welcoming, large, and comfortable. My group pf six friends enjoyed our stay. We did have three issues. There were no printed instructions on how to use the TV. We are technically savvy and yet we were unable to find a local news station. This was a concern because there were tornadoes touching down near the home of one of our group members. Secondly, we had plenty of bath towels, but not enough hand towels or washcloths. Thirdly, there were no top sheets on the lower bunk beds. We had to take the top sheets off of the top bunk beds. Not a biggie, but it should not happen. Would we come again? You bet!
The location and scenery is very nice. The layout of the house is functional and roomy to host several people.
We rented for a family getaway in the hill country. The open layout , huge wrap around deck and pool made for a perfect oasis away! Comfy beds and plenty of bath and pool towels. We loved the upper deck lookout from the master suite. One evening, the sky was clear and we all went out on the deck to enjoy the stars. It was a good layout for kids as well.
This property made our family vaca. We had hoped to do a lot of water activities in and around the area , but the drought said otherwise. The pool and the breathtaking views of our VRBO made up for the cancelled plans to Jacobs well and the Blue Hole.
Beautiful home with beautiful views. You can’t see or hear any other neighbors so you feel like you have the countryside to yourself. The pool was great and much needed to beat the hill country heat. Overall it was a great place for our group of friends to reunite for the weekend.
Very nice place, convenient location. Thank you.
The online listing is beautiful but it doesn’t hold a candle to how beautiful this place is in person! We had the best time here and Wimberley is one of the cutest towns you could ever imagine. Highly recommend!
