17 Surfsong is a 5 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom luxury Kiawah Island pool home across the street from the beach in the Vanderhorst Plantation. This beautiful Carolina coastal home boasts a screened porch, an outdoor deck with a private pool, tranquil tropical views and beautifully appointed interiors.

The living room is spacious with vaulted ceilings and large windows offering tranquil views and an abundance of light. The living area offers plenty of comfy seating to gather with friends and family, a flat screen TV and DVD player for indoor entertainment and doors opening to a screened-in porch, furnished deck and private pool. The open kitchen is fully-equipped and offers a spacious island and eat-in dining, in addition to a separate dining area.

17 Surfsong accommodates up to 10 guests in 5 beautiful bedrooms. The master bedroom is on the first floor with a king size bed and private bath. The four guest bedrooms are located on the second floor and share two separate baths. Two bedrooms provide one queen bed each, with the two remaining bedrooms each having two twins.

This is one of the best pool houses for rent on Kiawah in a prime location. The Vanderhorst Plantation is a private paradise nestled between East Beach Village and Ocean Park on Kiawah Island. This tranquil plantation boasts maritime forests, marshlands and lagoons, beautiful stretches of beaches and an abundance of wildlife away from the crowds for a true barrier island getaway.

You’re perfectly placed to enjoy the best of Kiawah Island’s championship golf only minutes away at the pristine Osprey Point Golf Course and Peter Dye’s Ocean Course, or a short drive away from Turtle Point or Cougar Point Golf Course. Vanderhorst Plantation is only 4 miles from the top attractions of East Beach Village including Night Heron Park, Kiawah Nature Center, the Roy Barth Tennis Center, and luxury dining and shopping at The Sanctuary Hotel at Kiawah Island Golf Resort.

Pool Access: Private Pool is 10' x 20' and can be heated for an additional charge with 1 week advance notice. Please note this property has NO resort pool access.

Beach Access: Beach access via Boardwalk 31 and 32.

Please Note: The use of the fireplace is prohibited.

Pet Policy: This property does not allow pets.

Parking: There is parking for up to 4 cars in the driveway.

Check-in instructions will be sent via email at least 10 days prior to check-in once the Rental Agreement is signed. If your stay is within 9 days, or lesser, from the time of booking, the instructions will be sent via email as soon as the Rental Agreement is signed.

    The House was great, but I asked for the pool to be heated and was charged 499- apparently the heater fan needed to be replaced- I was not told ahead of time and requested a total refund- hasn't happened yet

    This was a beautiful property in an excellent location. The house has recently been renovated which was a peasant surprise when we checked in. One negative was that there was no type of instructions left for the pool or how to handle garbage. The outside of the home could have been cleaner, lots of cobwebs and debris. Otherwise had a wonderful stay, I agree with other reviews that twin beds in 2 bedrooms was not ideal for adults. Look forward to maybe renting again next year as the property manager indicated that they plan on purchasing new furniture which will be a wonderful upgrade. Short walk to the beach and bike trails.

    We had an overall nice experience. Only 1 primary bedroom with King bed. Disappointed the other bedroom with Queen bed, with en suite bathroom was a metal frame bed that was squeaky. The other 3 bedrooms had to share a single bathroom-that's 4 twins, 1 full size which accommodated our 5 children to 1 small bathroom. Please upgrade the Queen bed to a king wood bed-framed bed, so 2 families can feel like the cost is worth the accommodations. House needs serious spider-web and bug cleaning. Top of sliders and recessed areas have bugs and webs. Windows need a good cleaning if you want to see out of the kitchen windows. It was a pleasant stay, but for 2 families it was a compromise to split up the rooms. Would be nice to have an ice machine added since the fridge produces very little in the door. Again, overall the house was nice, but needs some love. Management was responsive and wonderful!!! Thank you.

    This was a good property, great location and perfect layout for a big family or group. Close to the beach and not too far from anything really in Kiawah. The property had more wear and tear than expected. The stairs in the front need to be replaced and some of the interior needs to be upgraded/replaced in a couple of the bathrooms, bedrooms and living area. Kitchen in good shape and serviceable for large groups. Pool deck and screened in porch are pretty worn as well. All very functional, but need love.
