Stayed Dec 31, 1969Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was beautiful and the location was second to none. Sitting on the deck or at the kitchen island, you see dolphins in the ocean. At one point two jumped out of the ocean as if they were offering a show. I loved all of the doors to the back deck which extended to the beach. The beach access was excellent. We enjoyed the beach at sunrise and sunset and were entertained by the ghost crabs when the beach went dark. Cleanliness? - I would give this house a four out of 10. Upon entering the home, I immediately needed to call the realtor to report some issues. The countertop was sticky, there were flies in the window in the basement. The baseboards had clearly not been cleaned all season. The grill was the most disappointing. Vines were growing into the grill and under the hood flies flew out and we found a filthy rack. I understand that condensation and mold may be an issue with homes on the ocean but these issues must be rectified before renting. In addition, we found two faucets were broken. The maintenance gentleman arrived in a timely manner, repaired the broken fixtures, and took away the grill for a deep cleaning.

It's an easy walk to the beach, and the views from the house are amazing! The top floor is exquisite. The common living area is well laid out with comfy furniture, and the kitchen was fun to cook in. The master suite on the top floor was perfect. We enjoyed the pool!While the elevator made the stay much easier for the eldest members of our group, its placement in the basement, right by the back door in a narrow space, was a bit awkward when unpacking and packing. We could never get the downstairs rec room to stay at a consistent temperature and keep the humidity down. The oceanfront master with the bathroom that links it to the kids' room was very musty-smelling, and the bed was uncomfortable. We didn't sleep well, and the WiFi router in the bedroom made me feel uneasy. There isn't a lot of airflow in the second-floor rooms, so be sure that all vents are open and keep the AC running to keep down the musty smell. The cleaners need to do a little scrubbing on the interior doors on the second floor. Humidity is a big issue in the house as many of the doors, interior and exterior, are swelled to the point that they don't close easily or at all. The house could use a little attention to bring it up to its full potential, but we had a great week!

It is a beautiful house, and we loved being by the ocean. The house was clean and well maintained, although there was an issue with the hot tub. The water never heated up in the hot tub and just stayed around a lukewarm temperature. A great plus with this residence was having an elevator in the house to get to all floor easily. (One suggestion though, would be to add the keyless entry lock to the car port door into the house. Due to injuries, I cannot climb stairs easily. To enter the house, I had to climb the front steps to get to the front door to use the keyless entry to get into the house.) Otherwise, the house was wonderful.
