Well, as you can imagine with a name like this, J.D.'s is a bit more cowboy. Maybe cowboy, but oh so comfortable! Wonderful height to the wood ceiling, matched by a great wood floor; lodge pole pine bed and ample windows make J.D.'s such a welcoming and cozy spot. The front door (all doors are hand made) is Dutch style to allow even more of the outdoors in. The very large bathroom also has a delightful jacuzzi tub with rain head shower. All kitchenettes are made from reclaimed wood from a horse race track! Very fitting for me, a horse farmer for 38 years! Each has hidden appliances (microwave, refrigerator and coffee machine). With a happy theme of red and white, J.D.'s Bunkhouse bids you stay.

We had an absolutely amazing time in Fredericksburg celebrating our 10 year anniversary. We loved staying at this beautiful ranch, it was only eight minutes outside of town, so we could easily go back and forth between our cabin and Main Street. The ranch itself is stunning, with rolling hills and views for days.We especially loved sitting out by the fire pit with a glass of wine, watching the sunset, and later seeing the multitude of stars at night. Judy met us at the beginning of our stay, showed us around the cabin, and shared a bit of the property’s history. There were pastries and fruit laid out for us, as well as some of “her girls’” fresh eggs. It had such a sweet, romantic, country vibe.I absolutely loved all the small touches that made the cabin unique, like the stone wall behind the bed and the massive jacuzzi tub big enough for two.We couldn’t recommend this cabin more and will definitely be coming back (hopefully with friends who can stay in the other cabins on the property).
