They changed rental companies this year and the price went up significantly so we decided to book Island Pony. It did not disappoint! The kitchen was even nicer, the house was very well stocked, and the beach chairs and other items in the garage were a great surprise! The only complaint was that this was the second year in a row that the pool was not operational during our stay. Last year, it didn’t open until the day we were leaving. This year, it was open the first several days (THANK GOODNESS BECAUSE OF THE HEAT!) but the filter wasn’t working. There were people there working on it the last two or three days of our stay. Hopefully, it can be fixed for good before our stay next year because the pool is a big reason we are willing to pay a little bit more for a rental.

It’s comfortable, roomy, clean and the kitchen is well stocked and the knives are sharp (I need to sharpen my knives at home now). Very enjoyable stay!

Very disappointed in the rental company policy to book this home for next year to someone else though . Doesn’t seem very fair when I called on the Monday morning of our stay to re book and was told it was not available for next year .

Even though there are “neighbors” in other duplexes on the property, it was very quiet and peaceful. The community pool, sunroom and back patio were also great spots to hang out. They provided a bunch of takeout menus so we had an idea of what to eat on the island along with a binder of other useful information. Management was also super friendly whenever we had a question. My family and I were overall very impressed and would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in Chincoteague.

The location was convenient and the backyard seating provided the ideal relaxation point to take in the sights and sounds of the many migratory birds. Thank you for a lovely stay.
