IL VILLINO --- SWIMMING POOL NOT SHARED AND PRIVATE BEACH ---

This was exactly the holiday we needed. The villa is perfectly located, just a 10 minute drive into the beautiful Cefalu but we were happy to spend most of our time using the incredible pool and garden, with the occasional wander down to the public beach for a sea swim. Alternatively, the private beach is lovely for sunset visits & exploring the rock pools.The villa was very clean with everything we needed, and our host Salvatore provided lots of information to make the stay an excellent one. He was always available for any queries we had and came round early one morning to change towels and maintain the pool.We had swims at sunrise and sunset in the sea and had some lovely meals in Cefalu (pizza at il Locale with a street violinist playing nearby was amazing) and overall had an incredible stay.Highly recommended

It was a quiet atmosphere, a lovely swimming pool, great terrace overlooking a fee olive trees. The private beach was an asset. Salvatore was very friendly and responded accurately to e-mail. We recommend it highly.

We really enjoyed our stay. The villa has great outdoor space including seating, sunbeds, barbecue and a private pool (well kept by Salvatore) - short walk to beaches for swimming and snorkelling (we preferred the public beach 5 mins walk away but there is a private beach too for just a few villas). Out of Cefalù so not so busy and only a short drive to bakery, supermarket and restaurant. Not easy to walk to nearby restaurant as roads are busy with no path but can walk along the beach. The villa is well maintained and had everything we needed. Many thanks to Salvatore who was up early to clean the pool most days so it was ready before we got up.

We ejoyed the location and facility sooo much. The private pool was great to have. Salvatore was the perfect host and was interesting and knowledgeble about area activities.

The property is closed to the seaside as described and about 5km from CEFALU which is a very Nice holyday place. The two bedrooms have their own bathroom and also a climatizer in each room. The kitchen is very well equipped with good stuff to cook or clean the dishes but also to prepare food . Outside you have a lot of table chair and sun chair close to the swimming pool. The swimmming pool is not very deep but highly enough to swim easily. We go there in end of april and with the nice weather we can use it, so not so cold. To conclude a very nive place to stay. Salvatore welcome us very well and gives us some good advice to discover Palermo (1.5 hour far from the property). Thank you Salvatore

Had an amazing week here in autumn half term. The pool was a hit with the kids. The location is great, a short walk to a private beach and another larger beach. Both were great for swimming and snorkeling. It's also a short drive to Cefalu, which is a lovely historic town to wander around with loads of great restaurants. Highly recommended.

This is a beautiful place where you can relax and enjoy your holiday . Close to Céfalu, close to the waterpark , .. When you come back from the busy Céfalu, the silence is welcoming you back home ;-) The private beach was a little busy but it was the beginning of August, the Italian holiday . We went to the public beach where it was also busy but ok. In the evening the private beach is beautiful to watch the sunset... The host Salvatore was always present for some good advice, even for the stupid questions :-D ..(sorry Salvatore..) It was really nice that Salvatore came 3 times a week to clean the pool early in the morning. So when we woke up, everything was ready to just jump into the pool. We'll come back for sure ;-)

Location - outside Cefalù but short drive to get there Wonderful & helpful host - Salvatore Private shared beach - a proper sandy beach & lovely spot (when sea is calm is easy to get over low rocks into the sea) Villa is fantastic - very new - a beautiful set up in old olive grove, well equipped & working well, fabulous outdoor seating areas, pool is great with plenty of sunbeds, beds inside are very comfortable, kitchen small but everything you need to eat in & cook for 6, BBQ facilities, the sofa bed is big and good for 2 adults (sitting room has aircon), 2 superb bathrooms etc - just hanging around at the villa is relaxing & refreshing and with the option of the beach (which we always found to be very quiet as shared with few other villas nearby) Cons: we’ve thought long & hard - can’t think of a single thing…except that we had to leave Other comments for guests: Visiting Palermo - take train from Lascari (modern new station nearby, easy free parking) - so much easier than going from Cefalù - though fewer trains, there are more than enough to make it the best option Shopping - Ard Discount is near but we found MD Store (on approach to Cefalù) better for range & availability of bread, milk & other stuff Worth a trip to Castelbuono late afternoon & meal out in evening (check out your route - you’ll be driving on part of the historic Targa Florio road circuit - google it!) Consider a rafting trip through the gorges of Tiberio & walk up the river to find wild swimming afterwards Cefalù restaurants - lots there - but Tinchite is great for Sicilian food (if you choose the land or fish big set meal - do not eat anything for a long time in advance!!)

Great location close to Cefalù. We had a wonderful week in family. The atmosphere is quiet and peaceful. The house is very clean modern and brand new. The pool is perfect for both adults and kids and very well maintained. Most importantly the host Salvatore is excellent and welcoming. Little paradise ! Do not hesitate.

The house was everything that was described on the website. We really enjoyed staying there. Thank you Salvatore for being the perfect host. He even organised a private yoga lesson on the beach with the sun setting. The people, food and place has left a warm glow in our hearts.
