Ideal house for families in Sea Pines with only a 5 minute walk to the beach!

This was our 15th annual family trip to the island and Sea Pines, so we know the area well. House location is good, pool is great and house is clean. We enjoyed our stay and we can mostly tolerate anything for a week as long as it’s clean. House really needs some updates, such as a new stove. I couldn’t even get water to boil. Also, the only TV for family viewing is located in the den and it wouldn’t even seat our group of 7 comfortably for a movie night. They should really consider putting a tv in the larger gathering room. The beds seemed a little old and not very comfortable. Overall, we did enjoy our stay but would probably pick another house.

We will not be booking another rental through Island Getaways. The oven did not work for 2 weeks of our 4 week stay. The toaster did not work as well and was eventually replaced. The pool was supposed to be cleaned twice a week and was only cleaned once a week. The debris in the pool and the scum on the top was horrible. The grill was a mess so we had to buy our own - especially since the oven wasn't working. WiFi was intermittent and made it difficult to work from the house. Response from Island Getaways and attention to the issues was extremely disappointing. Our daughter who is a realtor and property manager in Ohio eventually had to call for us to get things taken care of. Horrible service.

Great experience. Very comfortable house. Great location to walk to beach and bike around town. We did have an issue with the grill. It’s needs to be maintained or replaced. It had so much grease that it caught on fire when we started it up. It also doesn’t heat high enough to grill very well. The front yard also needs clean up.

We had a wonderful week with our entire family. The house was immaculate and perfectly suited for our 5 adults, 5 year old, and 8 month old. Lots of room to spread out. The pool was a favorite! Short walk to the beach. We cooked most of our meals and the kitchen was well equipped. Thank you for a wonderful vacation!

Enjoyed our stay at 49 South Beach Lane, the house is comfortable and we loved the close proximity to the beach!

We had a great visit to 49 S Beach Lane! The house is beautiful and has everything necessary for a great vacation! The pool is large. A close walk to the beach, the house is one house over from the beach path. The beach is 0.2 tenths of a mile away, so very close! House is gorgeous, we would stay there again!

Our family had a great week. The pool was nice. Convenient walk to the beach.

Very pleasant

We loved our stay at 49 South Beach! We are returning again next year! One suggestion is that the wrought iron furniture on the upper patio and the Chase lounges on the pool level are badly rusted and need to be replaced or repaired. Also, a TV in the king bed guest room would be a welcome addition. Finally, a full size ironing board and full size iron would be appreciated. The home is very well appointed and comfortable to visit! We look forward to our return!!
