This property was in great proximity to Silver Mountain which was the purpose of our stay. The driveway was terribly steep. There was no BBQ or hot tub as advertised. The lay out was great for the 9 of us. I would stay here again.
We just moved to Idaho and we were looking for a place to stay until we decided if we wanted to rent or buy a house here. The owners let us have an extended stay until we were able to something more permanent. We had a good stay and made some great memories!
Wonderful home. Very spacious and accommodating to our group. Clean and quiet.
Had all the amenities we needed to accommodate two families with kiddos!!!
Good location, smelled like cigarette smoke when we got there though it’s advertised as no smoking. Hot tub did not work, luckily my husband is handy and was able to fix it. There was a stale baked potato in the oven and some old food in The fridge. A few of the dishes on the cupboard had dried on food on them etc. The property has been updated but the finishing work has not been completed. Not a problem just a note. The beds were quite stiff so if you have a bad back etc you will want a foam topper or something. They had a few games in the closet the kids could play. Plenty of towels and beds. Liked the playground being nearby. I would suggest some kid friendly dishes. We bought disposable to prevent any accidents with the glassware. I would also suggest leaving paper towels, a new kitchen sponge etc for each new guest who arrives.
Overall, the place was ideal for being close to the biking that we had planned. Almost centered on the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes. Watch out for squeaky beds.
Had a great time with my brother and his family, quiet neighborhood, close to everything.
We had a great time, was perfect for our family! Our kids loved the games. We didn't spend too much time there because we were skiing and waterparking but we made dinner every night and it was perfect. Would definitely stay again, thanks for sharing your home with us!
Great location and plenty of room for family and kids to hang.
We had a great weekend staying at the house in Wardner. The reviews weren’t wrong the driveway is steep but luckily the owners keep it clear and have ice melt on hand so we had no issues with it. Plenty of beds for larger groups which makes it a great value for the money.
Amazing accommodations. Will use again in all seasons
We had such a great time at this property! We stayed a few houses down last year and really enjoy being nestled away. The property is much larger than we originally thought and we all had space enough to spread out and not be on top of one another. Everything seemed to work fine and we were very happy with our choice. The hot tub was also great! Will definitely want to come stay again.
Property was clean and there was way more space than we expected. Close to silver mountain and downtown! It was beautiful surrounded by snow and felt like we were in a cabin in the woods! We even had a chance to sled right next to the house! House was enjoyed by kids and adults!
Wanted to stay in a small town near hiking, golf and the lake. This was exactly what we needed. Everything was as described. Only wish our stay had been longer.
Very much enjoyed staying here for a long weekend trip to bike around and visit this part of Idaho. Everything with the rental went smoothly. Cabin was clean and was great value compared to staying in a hotel. There were few mostly minor maintenance items that need taken care of but not worthy of worrying much about for the stay.
Overall we had a good stay. It’s a cute cabin with a good layout and plenty of room. The kitchen was well stocked. It’s in a cute town and was a good place to stay to ride the Hiawatha. It was nice to have access to the small garage to park our bikes. It was pretty hot on arrival-No AC, but opening the windows at night helped. A few more box fans would be nice. We wished we could have reached the switch on the ceiling fan to change directions to blown down for summer. The hot tub is out of order and appears to be that way frequent. We were sad cause it would have felt nice on the crisp mornings. The BBQ grill works, but is missing a knob, a handle and stones so it grills hot. The two king mattresses were pretty thin and not comfortable. The listing says a steep driveway and they aren’t kidding! We had a Highlander and a Pilot and a small uhaul for bikes and it was a challenge getting everything off the road and parked where it wouldn’t roll away in both the driveway and their extra dirt parking area. A few upgrades here and there could really make this place a favorite place to stay. The host was good to communicate with and even let us arrive a little early since it was ready. We appreciated that.
The only issue is the parking.
Enjoyed our stay at the property. A few minor items that could be done to make it so much nicer, but overall it was good. Owner was easy to visit with about any issues, and did all that could be done while we were there.
This home was perfect for our group of cyclist. The home was large enough for our group and close to the Trail of the Coeur d'Alene. Great Stay!
Pleasant stay. Just needed a little vacuuming and dusting
Overall we had a nice stay at the cabin. The cabin itself is wall laid out, comfortable and updated to have everything needed. Two days before the arrival, we were notified that the hot tub was not in working order although we were hoping to use it after a ultra marathon run we were doing. When we were walking the property, our kids peeked in the hot tub and noticed it was mostly empty with a dead chipmunk floating in it. Aside from that, the property was nice the first day. The morning of the second day, my son was startled to find a baby mouse in the bathroom. We all then were awake at 5 am looking or more mice. Shortly after we found the first mice, we noticed mice feces in guest bedroom beds. We then had to wash all the linens in the house to make sure everything was sanitary. The next day after our race, we were on the sofa when another baby mouse fell from the loft to the living room. Then shorty after following the trail, we found 4 more baby mice and the mice nest in an upstairs closet and in the bedroom our kids were staying. Of our 3 days staying at the cabin, two of them revolved around searching for and cleaning up mice. We spoke to the owners and while they were understanding about the mice and apologetic, even reimbursing us our cleaning fee, this still needs to be addressed better. We liked the town of Kellogg and the house but wish this was not an issue.
We got to spend Memorial Day weekend with family and friends at this beautiful cabin. Great location and easy to find! Lots to do around the area and very family friendly!
