ICONIC OCEANFRONT ESTATE IN WONDERFUL WAILEA, MAUI!

Wailea Sunset Estate couldn't be any better. The home, location, and grounds are exceptional. The homeowner has anticipated every need. It is beautifully appointed and well stocked. The layout of the home is great, offering big areas for the whole group or private areas with how the bedrooms are arranged. We highly recommend this property!

The property is stunning and yes as good as the photos indicate! Perfect location to many restaurants and good snorkeling beaches, even out front of the property had a turtle sunning itself on the beach. Spent every morning with our coffee on the beach area watching for whales blowing and breaching. The pool was warm and the hot tub excellent. Sunsets were amazing from the lawn through the palm trees. The tiki torches were a lovily added hawaiian touch for evening dinners on the lanai. Great access to Netflix on the big screen TV. The lounge chairs were very comfortable and relaxing. The beds were extremely comfortable. On the flip side, immediately upon our arrival the AC in the Master Suite (which is amazing) was over 80F. Upon contacting the property manager she stated, that happens all the time, if it's still a problem tomorrow let me know and I will send someone out. Well, it continued to be a problem, she got a tech out and it worked better for about 2 days, then back to heating up, never did get fully resolved during our stay. This was a real frustration, so before you book inquire if the AC has gotten replaced as she did say it was an old system. The AC in the other 2 bedrooms in the main house worked fine. Then shortly into our stay the Kitchen refrigerator stopped working sometime during the night, and we had to throw out our perishables as it was quite warm inside. The ice maker also needed servicing. There was not a working coffee grinder in the home. While the property manager did get repair people out - at one point there were 4 people in the kitchen from outside our group, not the CoVid touchless experience we were hoping for. It took about 24 hours for the fridge to be fully operational after that. I am a seasoned VRBO renter, having rented around the world, and this is the 1st time I have run into maintenance issues of this magnitude. The property is stunning, but it seems the maintenance people looking after it need to step up their game significantly. No customer wants to hear this happens all the time. For the cost of this property there should be no issue that happens all the time In discussions with the property management company, we received ultimately a credit of one nights stay that was acceptable to us for our troubles. The experience we had would not stop me from recommending this property, but I would want to ensure upfront the issues with the AC in the Master and fridge were fully resolved.

This was a great house in a great location. We really enjoyed the layout. Perfect for our family. Loved the pool, hot tub and lawn games. Being able to walk across the yard and sit by the ocean was amazing. All the amenities and extra touches were really appreciated. We had one minor issue with the air conditioner, but it was fixed the next day. I hope we can come back and stay again some day!

We just spent the most amazing 9 days in Maui staying at this incredible home. It was me and my wife, our four kids (ages 2-10) and our au pair. We are used to staying at luxury hotels and our alternative plans were indeed to stay at a hotel. We are SO glad we didn’t. This home had it all. The location was perfect—being right on the beach and less than 2min walk to the hotels. The home was well suited for us with the room settings, the pool, the separate room for the au pair. The activities we were able to do with our kids with the help of Yvonne, the concierge, were really beyond anything we could have imagined. We can’t wait to come back for whale season!

Ideal location. Except for rocky beach.

I felt like a rock star staying at this beautiful home. The perfect vacation for our family. Loved the views of the ocean. Beautiful sunsets and even saw a moon set one morning. We hosted a Thanksgiving dinner for about 30 who were visiting Maui for a business trip. They were in awe of the house and the wonderful meal we had prepared. What a great memory this was and everything we needed to cook for 30. Very well supplied and organized. Mahalo
