Vacasa was very attentive to our needs. The home was beautiful and had unique touches in different parts of the house! It was my wedding weekend and I felt like there was enough room for my make up artist and florals to make way. Great home for a family to vacation. Beach was literally 3 mins away. Great location!
My family really enjoyed this house & location. Had everything we needed! The hot tub was great after a long day & we even got to extend check out so we didn’t feel rushed. Definitely recommend
The property was great, cool historical landmark with a nice vibe and interesting layout. My biggest complaint was concerning the Property Management’s response to a simple maintenance issue. I get it, things break – things go wrong, but the Customer Service response will make or break the experience. Side note here . . . we don’t own a hot tub and narrowed our selection in the La Jolla area that had hot tubs, so was a factor in the selection of this property. On our first night (Thursday) we had a much-needed soak in the hot tub after major airline hassles. The following night we arrived back to the VRBO late in the evening and was again looking forward to a soak only to find that the hot tub stopped heating and had dropped down into the 80 degree range so we skipped. The following morning at around 10:00 We started the process of contacting Vacasa, multiple messaging and phone calls (we only got disconnected once) with promises of resolution. It wasn’t until after 10:00 PM that we got any sort of answer which was, “we will have someone out there on Monday, which is the day we were checking out and that they will look into refunding a portion of the fee that was attached to the hot tub. SO, to the property owners – Vacasa is charging lots of fees that really get passed onto the client (me) and you are not getting your money’s worth as far as good customer service.
Dirty floors, all surfaces were dusty with cobwebs in the corners of floor and ceiling. Gardner alerted water gushing outside of the master bathroom, which ended up being the hot water heater on Wednesday afternoon. Upon receiving news of this, several calls were made to the 24/7 customer service. We were told someone would be sent to the property that night... no one showed. After several more calls the following morning, finally received word that someone would be to the house within 5 minutes, they showed up later that morning and installed a new hot water heater. It was explained that as an elderly tenant (91 years old), it was imperative this emergency be handled as such and in immediate fashion. Customer service and Vacasa conveyed no such urgency in the matter or care. Due to the poor customer service, I would not recommend booking at a Vacasa rental home, EVER.
The house was nice. Great view from the backyard. Hot tub was a great feature. The amenities were all as advertised. Our only complaint was that there were spider webs (and spiders) in every corner of the house. It seemed like all of the high traffic areas were cleaned, but not the quiet corners. Otherwise no complaints?
The house fit our family (four adults and two children) very well. The outdoor spaces and hot tub were great. There were no steps for those who have problems walking. It is in a great location.
Great house, location, quiet street, nice hot tub, 15-20 minute walk to town. The host ghosted us. The home’s coffee maker never worked (even the most basic hotels have this amenity!) and although we texted 3 different phone #s for Vacasa, all we ever got from anyone was “we’re working on your issue”; no real response or action, ever. This would not have been hard to solve! No more Vacasa for us. Owner, get a new manager!
We stayed in this spot in Ludington for 5 weeks and it was excellent. Super charming house, great location, and great beds, TVs, etc. Would definitely stay there again.
The home was finishing up being cleaned upon arrival. After housekeeping left, we found there to be mold in the master bath, leading us to buy our own bleach and clean ourselves. The floors were still dirty, our daughters clothes ended up black from crawling. There was no laundry detergent, propane for the fireplace or enough toilet paper. The sheets and pillowcases were also founf to be dirty. We were also upset with the communication with Vacasa, who is booked under VRBO. They provided an outside renter company with our personal access code to the home. Despite us asking them not to and to change the code. They were completely unhelpful despite multiple calls and texts and told us to be patient. They also refused to provide us with contact info for the property management for the home to ask directly for a change in access code. Overall, it was not a great experience.
